I have been taking finasteride/minoxidil for over 2 years now and overall am better off than baseline. I have experienced 3 big bursts of regrowth along the way which are always followed by 6 months of light shedding (I am currently in a shed phase). I am currently at NW3 with crown thinning.

I will be adding 2x 0.5mg dutasteride p/week to my regimen, spaced 3/4 days apart. I wont take finasteride on these days.

The reason for this is that I have been lucky and experienced no finasteride side effects so I am hopeful my body will be able to tolerate dutasteride. Also I am in my mid 20's and I definitely want to make use of what I have left now before its too late. I appreciate there are risks involved, but I am willing to take them.

I will take pictures using the same lighting/angle once every 2 weeks over the space of 6 months and report back with findings. Wish me luck!

dutasteride won't really grow any more hair than finasteride (cosmetically noticeable anyway) but will have a greater chance of stopping hair loss if that is your concern. Good luck.

Here are pictures of my progress on an old thread I started:

http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interac...onths-*-WITH-PICS-*-finasteride-and-minoxidil

As things stand, I am better off than the baseline picture but slightly worse off than the second picture, I have experienced some shedding which is partly why Im going to give dutasteride a go.

I experienced some solid regrowth when I first started on finasteride so fingers crossed I may be a lucky responder to dutasteride, however even stopping hairloss would be a success for me.
