I Worry For The Bdd Generation Who Take These Drugs When They Don't Need Them

A lot of people here on these meds show a lot of hair and otherwise potential lifelong norwood 0-2's could be worse off setting themselves up for health problems in the future and the possibly the drugs could eventually have a Paradoxical effect on the hair by prolonged hormonal supression. I have heard accounts of this. It's probably rare but the health implications may be even worse.

Society now puts a lot of pressure for young men to keep their hair. In the age of social media, even a NW2 dramatically cuts out a large portion of the dating pool if a man is under 30, so for them it is worth it. On an evolutionary level, the ability to reproduce has a higher priority than survival in itself. This is nature.

I'm talking about 40+ Nor 2's who are Nor 1's a 20-30 and live their whole life with hair. These people should never be on hairmeds to begin with.

But the 18+ BDD community are risk takers that think they are helping themselves by being on hair meds they don't need.

I don't think there is strong is evidence to suggest the efficacy staying of these drugs past 10 years. It may even have paradoxical effects once you have to come off because the the production of hormones has been halted for so long, and once off or the drug stops working baldness is inevitable if you are prone, if you are not prone you taking poison everyday for no reason.

The damage it can do to the body in that time might be life altering.

As long as the industry has grown so much and practically doctors prescribe anti-cancer pills and transgender regimes to everyone who comes into their office and starts crying or threatening with suicide if he does not get the pills he wants... It's a more vicious circle than we acknowledge and it's the whole societies fault, from the system, social media, tv, industries, pharmaceutical companies and doctors.. It's too late and nobody can change it and it will be only a waste of time in trying to change something, especially on the internet where you don't have any power.. We can just share our opinion and try to warn them but in the end after they read they are going and getting their meds from doctors and that's that.. What's tragic that there are countries who are selling this drugs over the internet with home delivery without any prescription and we have to thank the US for this who in my opinion is the main culprit in spreading all the mental illnesses of their country all over the world... From opiates addiction, suicide ideation, guns, drugs, etc ! It's at a world wide level and it's hard to stop or change because the people who control it also control the world with all it's industries, etc ... As conspiratorial as it sounds, unfortunately it's the harsh truth and as i said, we can just warn people if we can and have time and move on with our lives, because our lives are important also and it's useless in trying to make kids who are not proper developed from any perspective to not do or think like an adult who has his brain fully developed and fully understands what impact this treatments could have in their future life, that's if they make it until they get adults with the big percentage of suicide rates, etc !
I'm the kind of person who was born with a feeling of meaning in trying to help and inform others by sharing my experience and information, etc but i came to the conclusion that i had a lot to suffer because of this and life is passing for me also and it's useless for me to waste it in trying to save or help people that don't want that help or saving or that simply don't have the capability to understand, or do not want too, or whatever reasons they have for doing what they are doing..
Somebody wise told me once that you should give a human 10 minutes of your life too see if he is worth it, if in those 10 minutes you see that he is stuck in his own mentality and refuses to see things from your perspective also, even if you are right and bring him reasonable arguments and facts, than you should not waste not even 1 minute with them and move on.. And i'm still working on that because i really had and have faith in humanity, all tho is fading fast in the last period !

He did this 10+ years. He took Dutasteride which was very new in the game of hair loss and risky at the time and it paid off. I'm not advocating young people should think lightly going on hairloss meds just saying.

These meds wouldn't be a thing if there weren't success stories. TBH I doubt Ashton would have ever went past Norwood 2 either way.

Also note: Celebs lie about hair all the time like Mathew Mc. I don't doubt Ashton had a good run with finasteride but he can easily do whatever he wants in terms of hair treatment and minor transplants and not bring attention to it.

There are probably a lot of happy finasteride users out there, but the unfortunate outcomes get swept under the rug.

Agree but women can't be fully blamed because men also put standards on women. Being attracted to someone is not really a decision, so it's hard to blame a woman for following the evolutionary path.

Istagram and the internet have made society a lot more superficial at large but there is no stopping it.

It really depends on the person not necessarily the starting point. Some will go on have a good run with finasteride and others might get torched.

Just the same, is it really worth the possible sides and more ominously long, long term sides.

Celebrity endorsements of sides-ridden pharmaceuticals always creep me out. I believe him though. He was probably a good responder, but maybe he'll also be depressed and impotent in 10 years, or dying of undetected cancer.

Statistics are sh*t, nobody can't prove they are, but everybody knows it.. The ones that make the statistics and the drugs know for sure that nobody could prove them wrong, especially when a couple of million of people start taking the medicine ! You must me real stupid to believe that ingesting everyday a lab made chemical could not do you harm, especially in the long term.. We are made of carbon, oxygen and many other stuff that does not interact good with this type of lab made chemicals.. It's true that the body tries to adapt and there are some circumstances where this drugs save lives because there is no other choice, or at least people don't know any other choice until now..

But as a scientists, or biologist, or having any kind of medical knowledge of the human body and how it works, everybody knows that drugs in general are gonna do something bad to your body, depending on the drug of course and on how much you take it... But the body is strong and adapts or tries to at least but in the end, the ones who say that after 10 years of daily drugs they don't have nothing, they are full of bullshit and it's not like they could know how would they felt without the drugs in those 10 years because they took it everyday...

It's a circle and most people are not aware of how they feel, how the drug reacts and they rather blame it on the weather than on the drug that is "keeping" their hair on the head, even if they don't know for sure if the drug is keeping it or if maybe their pattern just stopped there and never moved on !
More complicated than it seems but only the open minded and educated can see this things, the rest just pop the pill and move on, in the end, for people like them they are made and because of them pharmaceutical companies thrive, because of them in India is now a boom of low cost generics made in basements with who know what and after they made them they trow away the sh*t chemicals waste into the land and it travels the whole world, in China the same, etc ...

But welcome to society 2019, where if Tinder does not give you matches, you than have to chose, transform into a woman or get plastic surgery so the bimbos like me, or to "end it", because "it's over"... Generation of incels, 90% of them will never procreate and live 90% of their time on the internet in their mothers basements! And the US has a major role in this, they are the culprit in my opinion, for all the sh*t they made and extended all around the world, along with all the good things that they have done of course because in every country there is full of good people, but they are oppressed and marginalized by the others...
