i have seen a lot of insecurity and depression in this forum, and i feel for you guys, particularly when it comes to the world of women.....for those who are balding/bald, i would take a look at this guys videos. i've only been on this forum a few days so for all i know it's already done the rounds, but if not, certainly a pleasurable watch.....

If I thought I'd look fine bald I wouldn't be freaking out. I know how I look with a buzz cut, and its very bad, bald is worse. I am not going from very good looking to a freak. Hair loss isn't a big deal to some people, but a death sentence to others.

it's supposed to mean "telling yourself cliches to make yourself feel better about baldness instead of accepting its true realities". people have become trigger-happy with the word though, to the point where they forget what it means.
