I seriously doubt it's fake stuff.

I can't think of any explanation for the lack of a yellow color. I just compared it to regular kirkland minoxidil and I couldn't tell the difference. There are three possibilities
A. I got a bad batch
B. This is different from Dr. Lee's formula but still contains the important ingredients
C. This doesn't contain retin-a

According to Dr. Lee, B isn't a possiblity.

I just ordered the 5% spirocream and minoxidil 6% plus...I have a tiny bit of both Dr Lee's originals left as I used to buy in bulk. Once (if) it arrives, i'll compare them and report back

I ordered the same product as the OP - minoxidil with retin-a.

Shipping was much slower and was more expensive.
Lee's shipping rates were one of the reasons I started to use his products.
Dr. Proctor's rates are just crazy.

Lee always used a small cardboard box with packing pellets to protect the products and gave a dropper and sprayer.
Minoxidilsolutions sent items in a padded envelope and just sprayers.

The only other difference was my name wasn't printed on the bottle.

Lee gave the impression of a professional operation.

As to the product itself, it's hard to tell. I don't think it dries as quickly as the original Lee minoxidil.

It would be good to know what is going on.

Cool, let me know what you think. At this point I don't think I'd use them again. Not only is the product suspect but as someone pointed out, shipping is SLOW and it didin't even come with a dropper.

I don't wanna jinx myself here, but I got a tracking number sent about an hour after purchase and my parcel seems to be on the move. It's got a long way to go though, and shipping has never been fun for me out here. Also, the total price for my order seems a lot higher than Dr Lee used charge....

I'm curious how this new site can sell medications without a prescription. I thought high-dosage minoxidil, and finasteride, were rx-only.

(I ordered from Dr. Lee for many years; originally I visited his office for a consult; I don't know how it worked for people who weren't close enough to do so.)

I ordered a bottle of the 6% plus and it was shipped next day and I had it in 3 days. But like stated there was no dropper only a sprayer and it came in a plastic poly mailer but shipping was only $5

First thing I notices the smell is not the same as Dr. Lee's infact it has no smell at all other than a slight alcohol smell. So obviously something is missing.

I also notices under the cap some caking much similar to the caking the dropper would get on the Dr. Lee's formula.

So something is in there just not sure what.

I've not used it yet as I still have about a week left of Dr Lees 6% Plus but I pray its legit

Hey all

I can't believe there's not more commentary on Minoxidil Solutions considering they've been around for a few months now.

I really need some advice on this. I want to order Xandrox but I'm not convinced the quality is going to be the same. I have emailed the company twice on eBay and once on their site, with no response. I have been in touch with another user who says he received a product and it didn't seem like Dr. Lee's, nor did he get the amount of product he ordered. He said he tried to follow up with the company about it and they won't respond. He had to go thru his escrow to get a refund on the product he paid for but did not receive.

This is all not good information. Also, looking up information in the Utah business registry for this company shows it's registered to a "Raphael Sun Pak" and the address shows nothing but a warehouse. Perhaps "Sun Pak" is what they mean by "Dr. Park"? And the generic pictures of doctors on the website just smack of shady.

I really want the product and I want to trust this company but everything is telling me "no, no, no". Unless I hear any true positive stories about this place within the next week, I'm going to have to stick with Perfect Image because I'm almost out of product.

Comments?

Sorry I missed this.

Well I can tell you from my experience that these manufacturers tinker a bit with these products and sometimes shift suppliers. With Dr Lees my #500 minoxidil would vary in color and it was an excellent product and I never had problems.

I know. I just don't want to get this new Xandrox and find out that it's pough and that I wasted $100 on it. I won't know if I am comfortable with it unless I try, but I also do not want to try until I find out more info.

When someone has a 90% positive feedback rating on eBay, that is not good.

Don't do it, I'm not happy with their product and I won't be ordering from them again.

Thanks. I haven't really seen anyone coming out in support of them. At best, I've seen neutral commentary. Unless I can firm up the quality with a solid set of praise, I'm going to avoid. I really don't like the consistency of the Perfect Image 15%, but I do trust it.

I think that people are just unsure about the company because of how shady everything went down. I do have some spironolactone from them but I won't buy minoxidil there. You might also look at minoxidilmax. That's what I am currently using and I like it.

Old timer here, and ex Dr Lee client. Used to use Xandrox 15 at night, and minoxidil with Retinoic acid in the am.

I liked the MOPC product as a replacement but it seems they are out of business now too. I tried the Perfect Image minoxidil 15 as well... its rather tacky feeling and made my hair clump up into lacquered-coated dreads.

So, I've ordered a smorgasbord of products, and will try them all and get a feel for what they are like. I've ordered Minoxidil Solutions' minoxidil 5 with Retinoic Acid, and from Minoxidilmax I've ordered their Dualgen 15, one bottle with PPG, and one bottle of their PPG-free, and a bottle of Essengen 5, which I assume is a low-PPG minoxidil 5 similar to Dr Lee's #500.

I'll post my thoughts after I've tried them for a while. So far, I much prefer the viscosity and handling characteristics of the Dualgen 15 over the Perfect Image. Actually, I think it feels better on the head and in the hair than Lee's Xandrox did.

The Essengen 5 seems to be just like #500, so far. And, the Minoxidil Solutions minoxidil 5 with Retinoic Acid seems similar to Lee's as well. I guess there's not a whole lot of variability to contend with when comparing these low-PPG 5% minoxidil solutions, the recipe is probably very similar between all of the producers.

Yeah, I guess at the 5% level the quality is more assured. Not only is that a legal FDA dose, it's also too little to really mess around with.

Whereas with the 15% solutions there could be a little more variability.

Consistency and viscouscity of the 15s have never been an issue for me because I use them only at night anyway. I just really liked the topical finasteride in Xandrox.

I'm interested in these MOPC and minoxidil max companies you mentioned.

Out of All the companies, which generally has the best reputation?

I have no idea about their reputation, save for what you all have already discussed here. MOPC is out of business, unfortunately... I had only used their minoxidil 15 for a few months and thought it was an outstanding product.

The ordering and shipping process for MinoxMax and minoxidil Sols have both been pretty professional. They also both came with the little product description inserts in the package, and the inserts all seemed to be saying the right things. I was a little peeved that Minoxidil Solutions came with a sprayer instead of a dropper... but I have scores of old Dr Lee drippers laying around, and they fit perfectly.. so, so far so good.

Ive been using the xandrox 5% with retin-a for a couple of months and I just added the xandrox 15 plus recently from minoxidil solutions. I used minoxidil max but I figured I needed a good dht blocker in finasteride, which is why I added xandrox 15 plus

I have no complaints so far and I actually think my hair is getting better. I've used Dr. Lee's products before and they were great. The minoxidil solutions products seem to be identical to that of Dr. Lee's

Oh. Now I find this thread. :) I just bought some topical spironolactone from minoxidil soultions. The website was sort of janky. I paid with paypal, and the billing/shipping address somehow got mixed up with one of my old addresses. I emailed their help desk to ensure that it was sent to the correct address, but never got a reply back. Thankfully, the product arrived in 3 business days to the correct location. I don't know anything about how spironolactone is supposed to look or whatnot, but this stuff is pretty darn skunky if you put your nose right in it, but as soon as you rub it in you can't really smell it. Its got a creamy off white color to it and the texture is kind of like spackle or something. The container seemed really small to me, but maybe that's normal, but the contents look like they were just scooped up out of a larger container and dropped in. There's quite a bit of open air in the container.

So, I don't know... seems kinda iffy. Not sure I'll continue with them, but their price wasn't too bad, and heck, if it works that's all I really care about.

I got minoxidil from Perfect Image, and it seems like a far more respectable company. First of all, I don't care what people say, its nice that they're on Amazon, and even though I've bought items from shady dealers on Amazon before, I like that its high traffic with high visibility. Some websites like hairgen, or whatever its called, feels to me like some dark back alley. Just... I don't know... seems suspicious. Second of all the packaging and delivery of the product from Perfect Image seems more professional. Again, all I really care about is if it works... Its good to question these things though because excellence in minor things like packaging and delivery should give one some hope that they desire excellence in their product as well.
