So I've been here for a little while now and I really don't have a final answer or conclusion on multiple questions.

Here is a picture from about two months ago when my hair was styled after a haircut such: (YES I KNOW, I have a huge forehead)

Here is a picture from about week ago with unstyled hair after a long day at work, could also do with a cut..

Back of hair/crown: (I'm not worried about this part of my head, no signs of baldness or thinning)

Since I've been here, I've received multiple opinions on my hair, and I haven't come to a definite conclusion.. Am I just going crazy or what? I just feel really self-conscious about my hair.. :/

Say I am balding/receding or whatever, I don't think Finastride will fix my problem, which is as can you see, the hairline.. Is Rogaine the cure if the case is I am receding? But I also read it destroys your hairline?

I'm also just trying to prep myself as I've booked an appointment at The Belgravia Centre next week, have any you guys been there? What was it like?

Say I do get put on medication, am I likely able to keep it a secret, I'd rather do so and how much of an effect does it have on your lifestyle?

Thank you!

Could be diffuse thinner male pattern baldness? Its quite often characterised by a strong crown area but the frontal zones start to lose density.

Picture 2 kind of looks like that to me, if it is diffuse thinning it will most impact at the two temples and then go up to the midscalp, forming balding in those areas and leaving a 'island' at the front of your head.

It seems to be early stage though so get it checked out with a doctor asap, treatment for hair loss is more about prevention, the quicker you get diagnosed and if its male pattern baldness, then the faster you can get on treatment and the more hair you will save.

If you booked at Belgravia that is good since they are hair loss experts, I'm pretty sure they will start you off with minoxidil and then finasteride after.

The best way to keep your treatment a secret is to apply the minoxidil at night time, if you are asked to do it twice a day, use the liquid at night time, shower in the morning then after shower you can apply the foam vision which is much better for going outside with since it gives a styling effect. Finasteride would just be a pill, take in the morning, shouldn't effect social schedule.

Thank you for the response, and much needed info!

Yes, I have an appointment on Wednesday.

Still looking for other feedback. :)

Bad news- you have male pattern baldness, and your pictures are terrible. Take one in natural light to get an accurate response.

Good news- you caught it early. Get on finasteride and you should hold it for many years. If that front center is thinning, which it looks like it is, you def have male pattern baldness

How are you finding finasteride and how long have you been on it?

Also, for what reasons?

get some clearer pictures of the front of you hair, but you are probably crazy you have a full head of hair just like every other teenager that comes on here

Really hate taking pictures, I have quite low self-esteem. :/

I am very thankful of my full head of hair but I can't help but worry.

You're balding, get on finasteride and most likely you will be able to relax about hairloss for a few decades.

Is finasteride the correct solution to the problem I appear to be having? Thought it didn't do much for the front?

It is the only thing that will stop it getting worse in the long term. Nizoral 2% shampoo twice a week is worthwhile too as a concurrent treatment.

If you're balding but not on finasteride, you're phucked.

Appreciate your feedback.

I guess I'll see what The Belgravia Centre say next week.

Wish me luck!

Yeah, I agree. It doesn't matter if you have diffuse thinning male pattern baldness or classic style, without finasteride its pretty much a lost battle.
