Improvement in my crown?

Do you think there has been improvement in my crown hair loss?
1st pic is from Dec 2012
2nd pic from todayDec 2014

it might just be the lighting but maybe it will get better?

The lighting might have a little something to do with it, but it does look like there's improvement, but that's just me judging those two pictures alone in which both the lighting and tilt of your head is different in both.

definitely an improvement although the lighting doesn't give a fair representation.

If you go for a short back and sides (2/3) faded in to a scissor trim on top, it will drastically minimise the thinning spot!

thanks - I will try taking the 2nd pic again in better lighting. the first pic was done by a hair transplant doctor during a consultation a couple years ago. my regimen so far is minoxidil 1xday since Feb 2014... finasteride 0.5 mg/day since Oct 2014 and nizoral 1% since Oct 2014

update

ok so i just wanted to update this thread with a newer, clearer, better lighting picture of my crown. hoping some of y'all can offer some of your opinions on if you think it looks thicker, no difference, or worse. just need some objective viewpoints. and again my regimen is the big 3: minoxodil (1x a day since Feb '14), finasteride (0.5 mg / day since October '14)... and Nizoral shampoo (2-3x a week)

also there is without a doubt improvement between the 2 pics- this makes me want to get on finasteride even more

no sides at all but i consciously chose to take only 0.5 mg instead of the recommended 1mg because A. it cuts the cost in half ($79/month) which makes it only $40/mo. now. and B. because it decreases the risk of side effects

I was thinking the same- how old are you? I also think it would almost be reverse placebo effect knowing I'm taking half the dose and it has the same effectiveness (regardless if it actually decreases sides or not). At least just knowing I'm helping my hair but half dosing. I'm under the impression from my research that .25 mg is just as effective as 1mg is that true? I was thinking starting .5 mg

I tried Propecia a couple of years ago for about 4 months and I got a bad side effect and was hesitant to start it back up again... but I decided to try it one more time and so far 0.5 mg has not given me any sides. I just now reached my 3 month marker on it at this new dose. And I too did similar research and read that smaller doses can be just as effective.

Well trying the drug out in 2 different doses on yourself is a pretty darn accurate way to Distinguish between sides. I'm glad the lower dose has yielded less sides. The only thing concerning me is gyno or anything permanent but I think placebo effect plays a much bigger role in "irreversible" effects.

any thoughts? Anyone else have hair loss as the crown that improved gradually? I have been on finasteride for 9 months ... Keeping my fingers crossed that's things continue to improve...
