Dude you have 10 times the density I do. I recommend you grow your hair out some and get some texture in your hair, use Couvre, grow it out more to help cover the temples, comb it straight back and you will be a styling stud. Again I wish I had your density....be glad! Some of us have it worse than you.

Gunner,

You might want to discuss these issues with your doctor. Hair loss may not be your main problem. If, for example, you are having problems with a mood disorder, there are effective, readily available treatments for that.

Thanks for the advice, good and bad.

As someone mentioned, it's full of up's and down's.

Well, not reacting to this stuff I paste on my hair twice each day, to have nothing with regards to acceptable results

It's hard to accept, hence the post.

Tynan, I read them all.

Thanks either way.

Gunner your hair is not that bad at all. I'm pretty close but you've got more than me. From those pictures it just looks like receeding at the temples, I don't see much diffusing at all. Only others with male pattern baldness would ever notice your situation. Cheer up, it could be MUCH worse. If I could grow a little to get to your point, I would consider mission accomplished. As long as you can maintain what you've got, you'll be shittin in high cotton. :)

Everyone always says 'get a tan'.

What happens if your skin doesn't tan at all?

Is that when it's time to shoot yourself in the head?

That would somehow mean you have absolutely no melanoma in your skin which is impossible.

If you cant get a tan by the sun that well then either try Mystic tan, which is were you go and and have a fake spray go over your entire body till you have the tan you desire...mystic tans range from 30-45 dollars and the fake tan lasts about 2-3 weeks(or longer)...........

or there is a new pill in the works right now with the FDA that ups the melanoma in your skin making you tan 50%quicker which means you have a 50% less chance of getting skin cancer. Also this pill is supposed to make your tan last up to 3 weeks longer then a regular tan.
I personally want to get ahold of these pills if they work and are FDA approved.

I don't tan, i get freckles, whatever the scientific reason behind that is, i don't know, but i cannot tan in the traditional sense, a lot of people have skin like mine.

If i got a fake tan on my skin, haha..i can't tell you how insane that would look, you simply could not do it on skin like mine & the same goes for other people with similair skin. And a tanning pill would only increase the formation of freckles if it interacts with melanoma.

Even people who don't get freckles who have fair skin don't tan, they just burn.

But thanks for your help anyway :)

It just sux when you hear that advice being offered 'get a tan' and i know that i can't..but oh well :)

Go and get your hormones checked. If u*re Androstendione levels are over 2,4 you have no much chance winning the battle with finasteride, minoxidil and so on. Oral spironolactone or Dexa would help in this situation.

I've got the same hairlosspattern as u, cant't grow out my hair and son on .

I'm also on finasteride, minoxidil...., checked my hormones and the Doctor said finasteride is too weak to win the battle. Androstendione is much aggresive than the testesteron which gets converted to DHT. But Androstendion can't bind on SHBG and goes straight from the kidney to prostat and gets convertet to DHT !

Same here bro.......not sure how to solve this one. I can get a uneven glow, but my freckles will then stand out big time.

More than likely, the only thing we can do is go get a spray on one.

I can't get a tan, nor can I shave my weird shaped head, I would look like an alien...one ugly f*****g alien.

Thankfully my treatments are working.....if I ever lose the fight again...it's rug city. Toupee's and a case a day to make my lil hairloss problems go away.

I assume you meant "melanin" and you meant to exclude albinos ...

becks, how does oral spironolactone work exactly? please give more info id be very interested to know, have heard it mentioned but have you used it? or do you know anything about it?

if you cant tan guys, at least get a bit build. u dont have to be black as the night sky to pull off a shaved head. look at ed norton in american history x. ok, he was a nazi, but forget that bit!!!

and as for whoever was talking about bleaching or shaving... i faced the same situation. id say grow it out, then highlight the tips. its incredible how much thickness it adds to your hairs appearence. ive lost a lot of hair diffusely, but with my hair highlighted and grown a bit, when i quiff it or mess it up a bit with just a little bit of hair wax on the tips, it looks SO thick. and my hair is actually v thin. go for it. if worst comes to worse, you can shave it later, but once youve shaved it there may be no going back (growing it out may be an embarassing issue if youre too thin on top, as i expect it would be with me, but i guess you could wait till the holidays to do this). anyway, just highlight the tips thickly. and shampoo and condition after so any bleach that has run down to your scalp is washed away.

voila!

No I havent't used Oral spironolactone ! For me it's too dangerous, but I#ll visit a hormon specialist and will see what he thinks about these results.

Another drug is Dexamethason. But I think both drugs are very dangerous !

Maybe he will say that this Andr-levels are normal for people who have male pattern baldness and send me home again.

The other Doctor said that these levels come from Propecia. ! So I should drop Propecia because it up's my Andro-Levels. And levels above 2,4 cause hairloss.

Becks,

What is the dexamethasone supposed to do? What dose, route of administration, and duration of therapy?

If these are systemic therapeutic doses (greater than physiologic), I'd rather be totally bald than take it.

Did anybody else notice how thin his hair looked when it was shaved in that movie, yet in other parts of the movie when it was long it was thick? Makes me wonder if he wears some sort of hair system or concealer of some type.
