People are many times too quick to 'condemn and pray' when bad things happen, but there's no attempt to try to understand causes, effects and solutions to problems. There's an expression, "The apple did not fall far from the tree". But sometimes it does, sometimes good parents have bad kids, and bad parents have good kids. We can't be 100% sure what happened in Rodger's case.

Should I have children now, I will be very aggressive in making sure that they have proper socialization, and athletic training. In fairness, that is with 2018-level knowledge, and perhaps a wise person living in 1995 would not know as much about recent developments in that area.
