Increased, then decreased libido from finasteride

I started finasteride about a month ago, and in the first week of taking it my sex drive was through the roof. Since last Sunday, however, I have not felt the urge to masturbate even once, and I'm not getting that turned on by visual stimulation. I would normally be uncontrollably horny after abstaining for one day!

Is this a common phenomenon in finasteride users? Can finasteride give you an initially high sex drive, then lower it, then go back to normal?

I believe this is actually standard for finasteride. In the first week, your testosterone levels are higher due to less T being converted to DHT, but then your T goes back to normal since the excess is converted to estrogen instead, reducing your libido - hence why you should take some form of aromatase inhibitor.
