Hi guys! Im 20 and ive been experiencing hairloss since I was 17.
When I was 18 I first noticed I had a receeding hairline and thinning at the crown. I didn't really care about it until it got worse so I started Minoxidil and shaved my head when I was 19 (25 April 2018). My hair grew back pretty well with good density after continuing use until October 2018. The hairline was still receeded but the crown grew back completely so I was pretty happy.
I stopped using minxodil after that since I was pretty satisfied with my hair and I was battling the itch I got because of the propyl glycol in the liquid minoxidil. (Stopped in late Nov) Noticed the hair started to shed after a few weeks so i quickly went back on it.
In December I had dengue fever (deadly fever transmitted by mosquitoes) and was hospitalised for 2 weeks. Hair was still okay during this period.
2 months later my hair started shedding ridiculous amounts like I've never seen before. It was a general thin and lost density everywhere on my scalp.( Back and sides included)
Now my shedding has stopped but I am wondering if this hairfall is due to Telogen Effluvium from my sickness or the minxodil shed???
Also should I continue minxodil while continuing to recover from Telogen Effluvium?
