Introducing Minoxidil 5% for Revivogen

I'm 27yrs and my hair has been thinning on my crown and frontal regions. I decided to do something about it 6 months ago and started using Revivogen since. Initially i noticed the shedding had reduced and the hair looked healthy (no regrowth though). But over the last 2 weeks i've been shedding hair like crazy and my frontal region looks thinner than ever.

I'm really worried, why this sudden increase in shedding after 6 months? I thought shedding should only occur in the early stages. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm also thinking of introducing Minoxidil 5% into my regime. How would i go about doing this? Can i apply revivogen in the morning and minoxidil in the evening?

Thank you.

Revivogen

Is shedding normal for Revivogen? I'm nearly two months into using this stuff, and I noticed that I still have a good amount of hairs falling out when I apply it.

How has your shed worked out for you - did it stop? I ask because today marks my two month anniversary on Revivogen. I'm not taking anything else (some use of Tricomin). The amount of hair that I lose in the shower is about the same (it wasn't that much to begin with), but I definitely have not seen any regrowth. I was hoping the fuzzy areas would start to sprout, but that has not happened.

Has your shed stopped and have you seen any regrowth on Rev? I'm also considering minoxidil but was trying to avoid that!

well tough to say if i'm losing less hair on Revivogen.

I cut my hair short recently and ever since, have noticed that I was losing less hair in the shower. I think it's partly because the hair can't get tangled in my fingers and inadvertently pulled out. On the other hand, could be that Revivogen has kicked in after two months. Definitely have not seen any regrowth, but it is still early to tell.

~ like the shampoo

~ love the conditioner

~ 7 months into the scalp serum - and really can't claim any noticeable positive results. I've cut back to 5 applications per week. It's great stuff (ingredient-wise) and has had positive results for a chosen few. Plus, a lot of people also report positve results w/ Zix - and it's just my opinion that Rev has got to be better than zix. So - I'll use up my 2 remaining full bottles which'll get me through the next 4 months or so. It's up in the air right now whether I reorder or not after these next 2 bottles are gone.

If I were you -I'd give it a shot. Can't hurt - (leastways, it hasn't hurt me). If you do start using the serum though - give it minimum 9 months so you can make a well experienced conclusion one way or the other.

Good luck.

just wondering if any long time rev users have any recent updates?

Around month 6 - 7 on Rev and other topicals I noticed I was losing ground everywhere, so I jumped back on the proscar bandwagon and pretty much dropped Rev and Spiro2% altogether.

I kept up w/ Rev for awhile - but by month 8 I wasn't using anymore.

I think it helped my existing hair look healthier, but didn't help me w/ any regrowth or stopping the loss.

I don't miss the bi-weekly scalp peel that Rev induced.

Still have 1.5 bottles.

6 months on Rev

Hi thought Id share my experience of Revivogen 6 months in. Rev seems to get quick a kicking on this board (although Im by no means a staunch supporter) but here is what I can say about it so far.

1) After a week I noticed my hairloss did reduce dramatically - my point of reference is the shower count - was losing about 10-15 as opposed to the usual 30-50. Also when I shook my head and rubbed my hair it would stay on my head unlike before my regimen - I remeber I used to do this before rev and get a neverending stream of hairs falling out

2) The hairs I do have are alot darker looking - when I started rev they looked almost invisible

3) It has not been amazing for regrowth - I have noticed some slight hairline regrowth (but then again it is only 6 months in) But at the crown still looks as thin as before - although at least it doesnt seem to be getting worse *I HOPE*

4) I have never experienced any of the peeling, oilyness other users have mentioned - I just put 2mls on before bed - ok it smells a little funky but its not THAT unbearable .

5) I have been using American Crew Revitalise CU peptides alongside rev which I really like - my rationale was - Rev for maintenance and CU peptides for regrowth (alternative to finasteride and minoxidil)

5 months in and I was not sufficently confident with rev as I felt I wanted to bolster it with an anti androgen so Ive added 5% spironolactone lotion and Im also alternating Proctors Proxiphen-N and started with Nano shampoo. I guess you could say this means I wont be able to give an accurate analysis of rev after the 9/12 month periods but then again my interest is in keeping my hair not proving the efficacy of one treatment - hopefully the makers of Revivogen can do this!

On the whole for me it was worth trying and I have just ordered another 3 bottles so I will definetly carry on. In a nutshell I trust the science behind rev and have enough faith in it for now to believe it is slowing down if not halting my hairloss. If your interested here is a summary of my regimen

nizoral 2% 2 times a week
Nano - 3 times a week
Alternate American Crew and Proxiphen-N in the morning
5% spironolactone lotion and 2ml Rev at night

Hope thats of use.
