Is .05 Retin A to strong to start out with? RETIN-A USERS

I'm wanting to add Retin-a to my hairline/temple region where I am currently using foam mostly twice a day. I understand to start off slow and use it maybe twice a week initially then eod and so on prior to applying minoxidil for maximum results. I have a whole tube of .05 Retin A...wondering if this is too strong? I've seen .025 mentione dhere but never .05. Has anyone here had success with retina+big 3?

I haven't heard of either of those amounts....

http://www.retinamicro.com/

They only list 0.04% and 0.1% amounts

Are there different concentrations of RETIN-A MICRO available?
RETIN-A MICRO is currently available in two concentrations, 0.04% and 0.1%. Your doctor or dermatologist can decide which one is right for you.

Can someone please clarify what these other Retina amounts come from??? Retina doesn't even say they exist!

I've been using retin a .05 for some time with success. I use it everyday. If my scalp gets irritated or starts to peel, I back off for a couple of days, then resume it. I apply it at night about 15 minutes before a minoxidil application. I hope this helps.

Even 0.025% in Dr Lee's minoxidil starts to burn my scalp if I use it every night. But thats in conjunction with other topicals which tend to bite into your scalp. Revivogen burns a bit as does anything with alcohol in it if the scalp is feeling sensitive.

I hope you understand that there's no particular reason to use Retin-A prior to using minoxidil (see the second line of my sig file).

Yes, we set fire to people around these parts if they get that wrong :bigun2: :)

But seriously, I wish I could use retin-A once daily but lately I can't with the other topicals I use. Retin-A makes my scalp to sensitive - and I used to think it was as tough as.
