Is Estrogen Bad Or Good For Hair? What Is The Consensus Here?

We all know to those who have balding genes, DHT is number one enemy! Dutasteride lowers DHT more than Finasteride, it should have been the cure and perform better, but not the case for most.

Dutasteride lower overall DHT more, but also raises more estrogen than finasteride. I was reading some articles claiming Estrogen is actually bad for hair. I'm speaking strictly about hair, is estrogen bad for hair or not? What is the consensus here about estrogen?

Update:

Take a read of this artticle, I don't know how credible is that though. what do you think?

"Estrogen levels play a major role in hair loss but how estrogen effects your hair is somewhat complicated. Too much of the wrong type of estrogen – estradiol (which is the estrogen responsible for hormonal cancers), causes a very common, and massively underdiagnosed condition called estrogen dominance. Estrogen dominance interferes with thyroid function, which in turn causes hair loss. Too little estrogen is equally problematic, especially if you are low in the good, healthy estrogen –estriol (which actually reduces the risk for hormonal cancers such as breast cancer). Estrogen helps to extend the growth phase of hair, stimulate new hair growth, and protect against hair loss, primarily because it helps to prevent testosterone from converting into DHT."

Erm, some girls seem to get rid of their acne with the birth control pill. That's about as much as I know about this connection. In theory estrogen by acting against androgens should help against acne, but I dunno.

Some say estrogen is bad for hair and that lowering estrogen will restore hair. Do they have pictures?

I say estrogen is amazing for hair and the more you have it the more you will have hair. I have pictures.

Believe who you want, but remember, one side is full of hot air and theories out of their ***, the other side has the results speaking for them.
May 2015 and May 2017,look the same to my eyes...You had the best results in July 2016,and then you lost ground again...That shows that it was fina and not minoxidil or alpicort that worked for you.

Yeah for real, I'm sure that THIS: https://s17.postimg.org/oa2cpxvz3/DSC_0005_-_Copy.jpg (July 2016)
was better than this: https://postimg.org/image/pll6c4ukr/ (October 2017)

...
You might be blind. Did you only read the first page of the thread? Don't make me upload the earlier pics to show the Minoxidil results as well.
I didn't maintain on Finasteride and I quit it in August 2016 by the way.

May 2015 and May 2017, you had lost your temples...In March-July 2016 you had regained them.
So,who's blind?

Because in 2016 that is a comb-forward. In May 2017 I have the hair standing upright so it's not covering as much of the temples. You can't see that properly on those small pics. March 2016 are minoxidil results btw.

A comb-forward with a buzzed head?...Teach me how to do that man:).

Wasn't buzzed, look at the 2016 July Postimg link I just gave you in the first reply, that's 16 mm something like a #5 guard. I don't want to argue about this anymore and take this thread further down the toilet. I'm out.

Pussies leave...Men with balls admit that they're wrong.
Even @Georgie has more balls than 99% of men in here.

Why don't we ask @Patrick_Bateman @buckthorn @Wolf Pack what they see in these pictures?

It’s the balance of estrgoen to progesterone that causes great hair growth and skin. You throw anything out of whack and it’s going to be bad for skin and hair.

Sigh. In the 2 years that I've been using all these treatments I observed my hair every single day. I know exactly what worked, and what did not. And now you want me to argue with you trying to prove to you what is very clearly visible on pictures. You realize I have absolutely nothing to gain by getting you (or anyone else) to believe me. Because I put this sh*t out there to document it, and I posted the pictures, which is more than what most people who claim results do, and if you don't believe what you see, that is your problem. If you think Propecia is so hot sh*t and that these results are from that, then keep believing that and take your Propecia. It means f*** all to me.

Whats your situation and regimen now? That October 2017 pic looks pretty close to fullhead man

Quite a bit worse than that picture. Lost density all over, and receded further. None of the old regimens work for me anymore, because in the process of treating my hypothyroidism I managed to increase my T & DHT closer to normal levels, which basically means that the healthier I am the faster I will go bald and the more aggressive regimen I need. I think the only anti-androgen that could save me at this point is Darolutamide. RU worked for me during the summer of 2017 for a while, but it no longer does. I might as well be applying sugar water at this point, other than the fact that most of the RU ends up in my brain and gives me nasty brain fog. I could probably regain some by using estrogen, but the side effects of that are just not good long-term. I have 150 mg of darolutamide on the way which I will stretch to 50 days at around 3 mg / day which should be enough to see if I can tolerate it and if it will work, but if it doesn't, I'm just about screwed I guess.

We all know that if you tip the balance in any direction that you are going to have issues. This isn’t new information.

sh*t sorry to hear all that, RU was a sh*t drug for me also. Actually doing daro at exactly 3 mg myself currently. If I don't start seeing something good happening soon I may have to try and up that dose, which of course isn't too appealing at the current prices. And if that dosen't bring anything either.. well then I'm definitely screwed.

There is only so much you can do with such sh*t genetics, it can never be overpowered by even the harshest chemicals without completely damaging the body, you really have to use gene therapy to fix the root of the problem without side effects, it's f*****g impossible otherwise. There was an independent researcher on BTT who used gene therapy and made a massive thread about it, but it was prohibitively expensive and you won't see it for 20-30 years commercially. Eventually he got annoyed by the illiterate rabble on that forum and left, but his posts were a glimpse into the future, brings a tear to my eye that I wasn't born much later.

Ha,ha,ha...I'm the last person in here to defend fina....I was losing at an accelerated speed while on it.
Actually, some people here accuse me of dysphemizing it.

It's just that your pictures tell a different story than your words.
In March-July 2016 you had recovered your temples and you were almost NW0...
Then in August you dumped fina, and in April-May 2017 you went back to almost NW2 again.

Good luck with your regimens bro,but i believe you had your solution in your hands and you dumped it.
Also, topical AR blockers like RU/Daro could cause retro...be aware!

I quit because I got gyno from Finasteride, so it didn't matter anyway because I couldn't keep taking it.
