Is finasteride just a "delay" ?

Does this mean that after two years you will be in the position you would have been if you never took it?

Does it mean that after two years you have done all the regrowth and it's just maintinance?

Or does it mean something else.

Actually, I thought the studies showed that there was no significant difference between dosages from .2mg to 5mg.

why did you cut down your dosage of Propecia, if you are now starting to thin I would have thought that you would start taking more!

i'm unsure if I should be starting on 0.5mg or 1mg.

If you are here are my answers. I cut down on Propecia because I am sick of taking the drug. It's been awhile and I would like to start cutting back and cleansing my body for awhile. I may go back to the 1 mg dosage but I will NEVER do more than 1 mg. Also, some peopel disagree but I think the studies showed that taking more than 1mg did not make much of a difference in the studies? Basically, instead of taking 7 mg a week I am taking 5mg ( 1 Proscar pill ).

I would start with 1 mg, that is the RECCOMENDED dosage. See what happens and go from there. When I 1st started Propecia, after about a year, I started taking 1mg in the morning and 1mg at night. I did this for 3 months and noticed no difference. That is why I have never upped the dosage.

It may not have been enough time. I was just stating what I did. At the time, we are talking 4-5 years ago. There wasn't the option of cutting up Proscar to save money. So I was spending about $350 a month on Propecia. That got expensive, I didn't notice anything different, so after 3 months I went back to 1mg. Kind of hoping by taking the 2mg I would jump start regrowth. I never planned on sticking to the 2mg dosage.

All I am saying is that I tried it, I may have not tried it long enough but I tried it.

ok.. but have anyone tried maybe 2.5 mg for a year or more ??? or have anyone heard of someone or know someone???

I have read people who are doing 'roids, big doses of testosterone, have better results with 2.5 - 5 mg finasteride ED than with 1...??? This must tell us that it works better when the DHT is getting out of control... and is this not exactly what happens after 5-6 years?? the DHT gets out of control???? just a thougt......

When you take ROIDS with Propecia your throwing in an element that you have no control over. ROIDS sends your tetosterone WAY out of wack so you start throwing Propecia into it, 5mg no less, your really screwing things up.... I think anyway.

i didnt say it was healthy, and i didnt say its not stupid to do roids..... but dont it still give us a picture that higher doses work better than lower??? 5 mg works better than 1mg??? yes, more sides... but there can also be terrible sides with dutasteride etc...
