Is It A Cowlick Or Am I Balding At 16 Years Old?

Been wondering whether I am balding or it's just a cowlick. I'm 16
also, nobody on my family is bald

Alright. And I've been feeling like the crown area is kinda weak/tender and I see 1-2 minuaturized hairs per day (only in my crown) when I pass my hand through it. Does it have any relation to hair loss?

I'm not really sure, some people say your crown isn't as dense as the rest of your hair because it's a growth point but I don't know.

Real simple answer, has that cowlick always been there, or is it something you just started noticing recently.
If its the former its a cowlick, if its the latter its possibly the start of male pattern baldness
