Is It Happneing All Over Again???

Hi Guys,

For the last 7 months I have been treating my hair with 5% liquid Minoxidil, 1% Nizoral Shampoo every 3 days and 1.5 mg of Finasteride daily with FANTASTIC results!

When I began treating my hair I had just started to experience thinning and since then it has pretty much all grown back.

But over the last week or so I have been noticing that strands of my hair have been coming out here and there a lot more than usual...


About a month ago I bought some new generic Finasteride, I had been using the 5mg pink tablets with the octagonal corners that I cut into 1.5mg quarters,
but about a month ago I bought some new 5mg Finasteride tablets online that are small and blue that I again cut into 1.5mg quarters.


Which makes me wonder... Is it possible that these new Finasteride tablets aren't working which is causing my hair to shed?


Should I throw away these small blue ones and go back to the pink octagonal ones? Or is my hair shedding for some other reason?


Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

just because its shedding doesn't mean it is miniaturizing just deal with it I went through shed starting at like 22 weeks also. Its not the pills its just variance

This may be stating the obvious but are you sure the pink octagonal tablets were 5mg?? kind of sounds like 1mg propecia to me .

If you have now upped your dose by quartering 5mg that could explain the shed and is a good sign.

I would check your dosage as you may be mistaken..

again I dont want to state the obvious but quartering 5mg doesnt give you 4 doses of 1.5mg
