Is it known why Androgenetic Alopecia proceeds in cycles?

Around the time my hairloss first started, I would see a lot of miniaturized hair all the time and then there was a period of a few years where there was no miniaturization, at least not in the front where I would normally observe it. IDK whether this is typical, but judging by this it seemed as if my hairloss either stopped or slowed to a significant extent for a few years, such that the number of miniaturized hairs was so small as to not be observable.

If this is a common pattern, is it known why Androgenetic Alopecia proceeds in this way? You would assume, based on the DHT + AR sensitivity mechanism that it would be a continuous, uninterrupted process.

My guess is simply lifestyle factors. Inflammation in the body can change over the years subconsciously.

Also seasons I believe I read a study showing different grow rates in different seasons.

Yes but that sensivity increase as we age by genetics, how fast this process is you genetics
