do you know for certain it is excessive DHT?
I have the same problem but I don't lose much hair elsewhere on my head. If it was excess DHT wouldn't I be losing hair around my whole head?

so for some1 like myself taking propecia will have little effect if my dht is in excess, since taking propecia the hairloss has reduced everywhere else whenever i shampoo my hair there little if any hair strands on my hands however the sides still remain a bit of an issue even after 4 months into taking propecia and yeah allot of hair follicles near my ears pluck easy

My sides thinned out when I started losing my hair. Been on propecia for 17 months or so (I think), crown has filled in nicely, a few new hairs on the temples, but my sides still seem kind of thin. It's not something anyone would notice, but I was hoping they would thicken up. There might be something more than dht at play when it comes to the hair on your sides.
