Im on spironolactone 200mg. This is my second month. Losing hair is one thing. Suffering from brain fog is just at a whole new level. I can't memorise sh*t now. I'm now extremely unmotivated and slow af. I can't be bald AND dumb :( Lowering my dose is not an option so far. Will my body adjust to the drug? Anything I can do to help?

You might want to check out a women dominated forum, as I don't think any of the men here are taking/can give you advice about oral spironolactone. spironolactone is the ACTUAL chemical castration for men.

I imagine the only thing you can do is quit. The brain needs 5AR. I don't know why it bothers some people more than others.

Try microdosing maybe. I have the suspicion that everyone needs wildly different dosing, depending on how well they respond.

There is an old threat on the other forum by the awesome desmond84 who is also active here. Google 'desmond84 micordosing finasteride'.
I'm new to the whole story as well, so keep asking around. :)

I got a bad brain fog with finasteride, can't imagine with spironolactone. I thought that LSD could help me, but now there's only a purple dragon mocking me for my brain fog.

Are you still on finasteride?
I'm not sure if I'm just being lazy lately or if it's spironolactone. I had similar but less severe problem where I was on minoxidil. It eventually went away.

Yes I am. Between brain fog, no libido and no erections I don't know why am I still alive.

Since the onset of my hair loss, my libido skyrocketed. I felt horny everyday it was unbearable. I could look at a 60 yo man and be aroused. I don't think this is normal for a 23 yo woman. It is one of the worst things of Androgenetic Alopecia for me after acnes.
spironolactone helped a bit and I'm actually enjoying medium to low libido atm.

What ? What u say ?

The spironolactone is a diuretic and very weak anti-androgen, and IT'S NOT ANY CASTRATION !!!

The chemical castration is then when somebody takes an analogues/agonsits or antagonists GnRh.

Please don't fu*k bullshits because after reading this somebody can be thinking it's a true.

Some men from this forum also take spironolactone.

If spironolactone is a weak anti androgen, is there any study that proves other anti androgen such as bicalmutamide work better for Androgenetic Alopecia?

I can't quit. Its my last option. I don't want to try other meds as I want children in the future.

Yes, bicalutamide, flutamide, cyproterone acetate are much more stronger, and better and more powerful work for the treatment Androgenetic Alopecia. Look at my regimen and at my thread in a success stories section.

That sounds really extreme. Where did you source your meds without a dermatologist?

Yes it's very extreme, but it helped me and it helps still. Sides are moderate as for me. From the net, and locally from a good people who aren't fuc*** motherfuc***s like the most dermatologists. If I would listen to the dermatologists...(they prescribed me propecia, vitamins and minoxidil 5% only)... maybe now I'd hadn't hair. But I listen to myself and I have hair and I'm very lucky.

Jesus, your Regimen = ultimate hairloss Regimen! Why not replace the CA with bicalutamide, it'll be safer and possibly bring better results?
