Is it possible to make gains on finasteride w/o shedding

Almost 3 months with finasteride (proscar quartered). I don't think I'm shedding. At least not yet. Even before finasteride, I wasn't really losing hair, but had thinnings. Anyone have any opinion about how possible it is to make gains w/o shedding? Is it even biologically possible?

I've been on finasteride for just over a year now, seen gains in the temple region and possibly a little thicker overall too - it's hard to tell. I never had a noticeable shed. Like you I didn't have very obvious hair loss, but I was thinning and my hairline had moved back. So it does happen! finasteride is unlikely to make your hair a lot thicker, though, not to the extent Rogaine can, so the shed if it happens will be smaller.

Thanks for your opinion. That makes me water little after Rogaine, but like Spencer Korbaine says, I don't think it will be smart to do a kitchen sink approach at least for up to 1st 8 months or so. I also don't like my hairs becoming dependant on Rogaine as what Rogaine loses effectiveness, my hairs will deteriorate even if I stay on finasteride? That is my concern and reservation about Rogaine.
