Is it required to use finger/comb when using Liquid minoxidil?

Hi all!
Pretty new to all these stuff.

So I have bought the liquid form of minoxidil.
I was wondering if i can just drop the solution on the scalp without doing anything (as I have read on some thread that it goes around anyways under the scalp)
Or is combing/finger massage needed?

I find it helpful to massage it in using 1 finger. I used to use a couple of fingers to do this but I noticed a lot of the min would end up on my finger tips so I figured if I used one finger the amount that would end up on my finger would be less.

Also, I find when I just drop it onto my head it kind of stays on top of my hair (buzzed to a #2 so it kind of stands straight up) and need my finger to force it to the scalp.

i use all fingers with a plastic glove, take like 90 seconds to do temples back and whole top of head.. diffuse thinner
