I would agree with some of the others. I started taking stuff younger because I was desperate. I do not know for sure how much hair I saved but I do think that I should have waited until I was done growing and in my 20s.

At some point your going to see male pattern baldness happening, and it wont be that bad yet. Why would you start a life long treatment before even knowing you have the problem? Its like taking cancer drugs now in case you got cancer in 30 years.
