Is it worth me starting Rogaine and Nizoral?

Hey there guys. I posted uner the Tell Your Story section, with some pictures of my hair. I was wondering if I was likely to see much of an improvement by buying some 5% Minoxidil and Nizoral shampoo? I'm fairly happy with my hair, but I'd really like to thicken up my temple points, as they do seem to have miniturised and have gone very blond. Are either of these treatments likely to get some pigment back into these blond hairs? If they were I think it would make quite a nice difference!

Thanks in advance!

hello Chris, I have just answered in the 'Tell your story' section. There I recommended you nizoral but not yet minoxidil. Certainly some of you hair in your temple points have become tiny and thin, but in mi opinion you still have a lots of hair for minoxidil. I forgot to tell you that the best thing in the future is going to the doctor's. bye

Unfortunately, my doctor's surgery isn't particularly helpful with hairloss. I live in an area with a lot of retired people, so I doubt hairloss is an issue to them. I had my doctor advise me to apply propecia to the front of my scalp. When I asked if she meant minoxidil she said yes! This was the so called skin and hair specialist there. I've ended up teaching her more about male pattern baldness than she knew already!

As for Nizoral, what is the likely effect to be? How does it help?

I WOULD SAY THAT FINASTERIDE IS THE BETTER OPTION TO START WITH. IT INTERRUPTS THE BALDING PROCESS AT ITS SOURCE (DHT). IF YOU JUMP ON MINOXIDIL, YOU WOULD HAVE TO USE IT TILL THE END OF YOUR LIFE, BECAUSE IT HAS A SPECIFIC WAY OF ACTION.
