Avodart by itself should do the job if you can tolerate it!
Laser Comb is a gadget...Invest time and money in stuff that can work!

i am taking both. i have had the greatest of times and also the worst of times. I suppose that taking both meds can really mess with the sheds.

Who knows if finasteride fight against dutasteride in the body or have a synergic effect in the inibition of 5AR type2?

I am on both as well. I started on finasteride a little over 1 year ago and then added Avodart. Been on the combo for 3 month's now. I usually take Avodart in the AM and finasteride at night.

I have only been on both for 3 month's but I have not had any sides effects and it seems the shedding has almost stopped now. I am going to evalute it again at 6 months but I would say it has been good so far.

I lost some sex drive but that was when I started Propecia, since adding Avodart it had remained about the same for me.

Have you seen that old alt.baldspot post from Kevin Davis on that very issue? I've posted it a few times on the hairloss sites, and I think it's an excellent analysis.

I've always worried about that but it seems we would have all heard about it by now, if there really were such a danger.

Bryan, Ive seen that study that you posted on HLH while i was researching the two. It seems like he's saying that if you take both at the same time the avodart will be blocking all the DHT while finwont be able to get the rest because if the more powerful avodart cant get it all, then the weaker finasteride probably wont either.

However,he does say at the end that there might be a slight chance that finasteride would get a bit of the left over dht if were lucky. But he doesnt allude to anything about taking the two together being bad for your hair does he? Maybe just not a good investment $ wise, is this right?

I think that's exactly right.

Thanks for the replies Bryan!
So, if Kevin's theory is true probably take both in the same day is a waste of money but if you don't tolerate Dutasteride everyday you could take fina everyday and duta 2/3/week (for example) to obtain better rsults than only with finasteride. Maybe...
