Is it? I like the way hair feels on my neck and i like hiding myself from the outside world. I don't think bald guys with long hair look so bad. Hulk Hogan looked pretty cool. Why is it so uncommon though?

Personally I thought Hulk Hogan looked ridiculous with the long hair. And didn't Michael Bolton get laughed at for having his hair so long despite going bald? As David Spade put it, "no matter how long you grow it on the back, we all know it's happening on top." I guess when bald people grow their hair long, it gives the impression that they're in denial about their hair.

Chris Kaman of the LA Clippers also had long hair despite being a nw5. Thank God he finally trimmed his hair though....

Screw what ever body thinks, if you like it go for it. And everyone knows
that programmers are guru's if they have long hair and a pony tail.

I personally think short hair is best for about NW3 and above but I've
grown mine out many times just to change things up. It's a real shock to
people when you leave the office one day with long hair and come back
the next with a #2 buzz.

Esteban Cambiasso was a perfect example, before he shaved it. Now he looks pretty awesome.

lol its terrible man, I am a norwood five and still in denial, but im letting my hair grow back in so the ladies will think im sexy, with a hat on of course. If you dont plan on getting a hair transplant or a hair system just shave it cAUSE it really looks stupid like Bozo or Homey the Clown.

sorry to be blunt but it looks like you're a peado with hair like that. i mean, i can only conclude you're deluded or of low IQ to sport that hair do, why would you put your baldness in horrible contrast with long hair like that? its horrible, really horrible. Its like a girl with a huge belly wearing a tube top and letting her belly hang out, you just dont do it..

at NW5,6 stage keep it SHORT and respectable, you dont have to go slick but certainly keep it tidy and not try look like a clown

Ok... did a little market research for you. In a deadpan voice I told
my wife I was going to grow my hair out to have a ponytail or just to
wear it long like when I was young. She just looked at me blankly
and said "Are you f&*in serious?" I said i was, and she said "Fine, but you
are'nt coming anywhere near me with hair that long". This is from a women
that was in love with my long hair when I was younger.

I just busted up laughing and she realized I was joking. So
I asked her... "Pretty creepy?" she said... "Oh yea, unless your a
rockstar you just don't have long hair these days... it's not in style". I said
"some women must like it" she said, "only if you look like Tommy Lee
(Motley Crew drummer) and you have to have a FULL head of hair
sweetie" (that hurt). I said "what if I was 25?" she said "that would be even
worse, all the hot young guys have short hair these days". "Rock star huh?"
I said, she said "Yep, and you better have the other thing that Tommy has too".
We both had a good laugh.

So there you have it from a very style conscious attractive women.
