Is My Hairline Ok? Pics Attached (25 Year Old Male)

Hi all

I know you guys get these threads all the time, would appreciate it if you guys could take a look at my hairline and see if its ok?

Before I begin, I am not trolling. I know I have hair on my head but I just feel my hairline is receding, but I keep getting told by friends and family that it has always been like this.



Firstly, I think the right side of my hairline has always been more angular than compared to my left side, you can see this if you look at the side profile pics of my hairline.

Is my hairline meant to curve like that? I've added the red line on one of the photos to show where my temples are. Does the curve mean that I've receded? Is the hairline meant to be straight and not a curve? (i've also included a picture of my hair pulled back from June 2015, I wish I had taken more photos)

I feel like my corners have receded basically, like where the circles are, but everyone is saying my hairline has pretty much always looked like that. I have attached lots of photos from this month, and have also added photos from 4/5/6/9 years ago.

Also, does the curve on the right side look more harsh? Does the left side curve of my hairline look more gentle? (I've uploaded that photo twice, with and without the annotations/lines.

Lastly, should I shave my head to get an idea of my actual hairline (so I don't have to pull my hair back?)

If the photos are unlabelled then they between 4/5/6 years old; the labelled ones are dated accordingly.

Looks like it might be receding a little. Maybe start minoxidil 5% (available over the counter at any chemist) if you're worried and talk to a gp about Finasteride if you wanna go down that path.

Thanks. Can you tell me which photo looks like I'm receding so I can take a closer look? Do you think I've receded compared to the older photos I've uploaded?

Also is there a way I can find out if I've definitely receded? I've been reading up on miniturisation. Should I see my doctor and ask if the hair on my hairline has miniturisation?

I honestly can't really see much difference, you may just have an uneven hairline. Dermatologist might be able to tell you but referring to old pictures is probably the only way. I personally didn't have much luck getting an answer about miniaturisation, I'm in a similar situation as you and I think unless you're gonna start a treatment I wouldn't bother going to the doctor. Going to the doctor for hair loss is like going to the doctor for pimples, they're just gonna tell you things that you can find online and suggest taking something.

Looks just fine to me. I can barely see any difference from 2010 and 2014 pics. I wish I had as much hair as you do.

If you're concerned then get on finasteride. You don't need minoxidil. Uneven hairlines are not rare.
