Is RU58841 in testing for hairloss, or won't it ever be???

hi guys,

i heard sumwhere that RU58841 was in testing to be approved and sold for hairloss but that it would take awhile. Is this the case?

Not many people ever mention using this, on the forum. I can guess that it is very expensive also....

RU58841 the big mystery in hair loss world. There was study showing that have the same effect or little bit better than propecia without the sides. But if you have enough cash give it a try, it's on my list also. You can find on these forums users that had good results and some people that are disappointment. But is same with propecia, maybe we should open group about RU users and share experience.

Btw. Any progress with spironolactone cream??

sorry, am not on cream anymore, i have recently began revivogen. spironolactone can enter systematically and it STUNK to the point where i felt quite self-concious!

Yeh this RU business is puzzling, how much does it cost then per month??

Abstract The effect of androgen receptor transcriptional activation by RU58841, a nonsteroidal anti-androgen, was studied in the human prostate cancer PC3 cell line by cotransfection with wild-type androgen receptor (wt AR) and an androgen-responsive reporter (MMTV-ARE-CAT) construct. Anti-androgens, hydroxyflutamide, and Casodex, and the antiestrogen, genistein, were studied in parallel for comparison with RU58841. The wt AR was activated only by the androgen dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Neither the anti-androgens nor antiestrogen can enhance AR transcriptional activity at 10?11-10?7 M in PC3 cells. Hydroxyflutamide, RU58841, and Casodex, but not genistein, displayed competitively suppressive effects on DHT activation of wt AR. The potency of RU58841 was comparable to that of hydroxyflutamide. From this result, topical application of RU58841, which is considered to be a potential therapy for skin diseases, may induce systemic side effects. However, RU58841, on topical application, revealed a potent increase in density, thickening, and length of hair in the macaque model of androgenetic alopecia, whereas no systemic effects were detected. Together our results suggest that RU58841 may have potent antagonism to the wt AR and could be considered as a topically applied active anti-androgen for the treatment of androgen-dependent skin disorders, such as acne, androgenetic alopecia, and hirsutism.

how much are we talking a month realistically?

I dont get why this stuff isnt everywhere and why people wouldnt spend that extra money on something so good

The stuff is not really proven anyways. There is more a chance that it does not work that well then there is a chance it does work well. Until its proven its just another could have been treatment nobody wanted to pony up the money to prove.

i think it does work but just not the kind of results people built up with hype. id see it as a topical as strong as internal dutasteride withousides. it certianly would be great to have instead of dutasteride or propecia but i doubt we will ever see a company finish all phases to make it available. its been stuck in phase2 for like 4 years now by some company.

thats not really true about lots of news on it or it would be out. It all depends what you mean by if it worked. Something working for hairloss is a very hard thing to show and expensive.
