I never thought i would shave my head, ive been on finasteride, minoxidil and nizoral for 7 months and have had good success so far. I shaved my head today and it looks pretty good. Is minoxidil gonna work better now ive shaved my head as the hair wont be soaking the minoxidil up? also when i grow out my hair again will it look fuller because the hairs the minoxidil and finasteride have helped will be thicker?

Theoretically, more minoxidil should be absorbed, which could lead to improved results, but don't count on it making a massive difference...if anything it mostly makes applying topicals easier and quicker.

yes my bald bro it will moderate your head if you shave and supplying of minoxidil and nizoral 1%or2% in your head..

i tried plenty of times it works very well..
when i begin myself with shaving and last 2008 i saw more oily head most of the friends are reporting about my head.

i used nizoral after shaving after 1 month and finasteride for last 9month..in between i gave trial to dutas (its f*****g sh*t) man made a pill for a male pattern baldness.

i gave up those trial and shedding were increased at that period of time..

so thought of shaving my head to see if there is oil is producing or not ..currently i'm using minox5% and fin1mg,niz2%..
i clearely say that these three things reduce my oily head for the past 1 months.i'm using nizoral for everyday 2-3ml/day..

Totally agree with this. There's no hair to get in the way of your scalp absorbing it, and, since there aren't shafts sticking out of the follicles, the min is like water coming down the drain.

What makes you think there aren't any shafts sticking out of the follicles? :)

It might not make it more effective, but your hair will at least grow evenly. I have an NW1 full of vellous hair after about two weeks of minoxidil, but since my 'original' bangs already reach below my eyebrows, it will take forever before that hair is "effective" - first off, going terminal, secondly, catching up to the rest of the hair.

Everyone who can shave their head should.

1. It helps during times of shedding because you don't see the hair fall out.

2.Results are easier to follow.

3.Treatments work better , because of better absorption.

4.Sets you up/other people for the future when you most likely will have a shaved head all the time.
