Is Spectral worth trying?

I've been reading alot about this Spectral stuff recently and there seems to be alot of conflicting feedback off it.

First I heard that it was great stuff and worked even better than Rogaine, then I heard that they changed the ingredients and it doesn't work as well, then I heard they changed it back to the old formula etc...

Another forum I read on says that it's a load of rubbish but on here people seem to say it's working.

So basically is it worth buying? Is the formula back to it's original ingredients? and where can I buy it from in the UK online?

These days I think the formula is pretty good again.

I am considering DNC, but I am more veering towards simply combining minoxidil, folligen and mega-tek!

I think any of these things or even another ambitious minoxidil product like nanominox would all prove good tools in stimulating hair growth

I too am interested to hear more about the Spectral line of products.

I don't know have you noticed, but most of these user reports I've been reading so far seems as if Spectral's long term benefits really doesn't exceed regular minoxidil by all that much? Faster drying time in under 15mins. seem to be the only consistent benefit I've counted so far. However, everything else seem to indicate that its performance doesn't yield results higher than regular minoxidil (ie. minor vellus regrowth and maintenance.) More importantly, if you consider Spectral's price factor, it just doesn't seem very accessible to the average working man? :dunno:

Now, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to flame a popular product with a solid company reputation here. All I am saying is I would really like to hear more success stories from the "real users" first. Perhaps, a picture? I can be sold on this product's abilities if I can see some before/after photos. However, most of the Spectral success stories I've came across online so far are totally without photos with the end-users claiming only vellus regrowth at best. This is not very inspiring for potential users? :dunno:

This is what I observed:

5% Minoxidil (tried both liquid & foam) halted my hair loss. But no regrowth.

Spectral.DNC made my vellous hair appear for the first time (esp. in the frontal area). But they remained as vellous hair, until ...

Spectral.DNC-L which seems to blacken & strengthen my vellous hair, slowly but surely.

I now use both Spectral.DNC (mainly for the back) & Spectral.DNC-L (mainly for the front & top) 2x/day. I only use 'em on bald area & refrain from soaking my scalp with their recommended dosage, thus a bottle lasts me a good few months.

BTW, Spectral.DNC-L has copper peptide in it (among many other ingredients) which is only mentioned on the bottle, not on their site.

Yes-- I would try to use it again if I can find the latest version, but the problem is I am not able to get the latest version till now!! Any body has luck, and would not mind to tell me where to get the latest version od Spectral DNC? Thanks!!

Ok, so I got a bottle of Spectral DNC and these are my first impressions.

Apparently, it does absorb much faster than regular minoxidil 5%, but the drying time under 15 mins bit is not true. The product has a mildly sticky, slightly yellow, and gooey texture to it. It actually somewhat foams when you apply large concentrations of it in one area. The spray nozzle worked fine for me, and although I wear a hat to conceal my hair during the day. I think you could definitely use this product in the morning without washing your hair afterwards, no problem. Someone on this forum mentioned somewhere that it works more like a mousse as opposed to regular minoxidil 5% and I cannot agree more. First of all, it is much much stickier than regular minoxidil 5% and secondly, although the actual content is yellow, as opposed to clean and clear, the bottom line is the yellowness does go away after repeated rubbing.

My chief complaint about this product is that it's too sticky! Since I don't shower my hair after application, I noticed it spiked my hair for hours and it also makes my hair feels much coarser when I run my hand through it. I could see how this is a desirable trait for some who is purely maintaining their hair but this actually make my hair looks awful as I am still a diffused NW3. Unlike regular minoxidil which also makes your hairs stiff, Spectral's stiffness doesn't go away for hours even when you rub your hand through it. It will just make your hand sticky which is the most unbearable part about this product for me personally. I'll continue to use it but I think if you can't deal with using gel on your hair in general, and or can't stand using a cap during the day, stick with Regular minoxidil for now.

I have noticed no extraordinary shedding during the last several days. I still loose about 40+ hair when I shampoo my hair every night. This is my 2nd shedding phase after about 7 month or so on the Big 3.

Is Spectral a form of Minoxidil? So is there potential for bloating and wrinkles just like minoxidil? I don't want this to be a debate about whether minoxidil causes these side effects, I know they did with me as several people thought I was older than my older brothers. Thanks so much.
