Is Stephen Dorff balding?

Could someone please tell me if actor Stephen Dorff is going bald? I can't decide whether he has a receding hairline or just a "mature" hairline. He's always had a huge Dawson-like forehead but like James Van Der Beek, it appears to be getting even bigger.

In these pictures (taken from the forthcoming "Alone In The Dark" movie), he looks like he's fast approching a NW3:

Yes he is, and I know why. Look at the first pic, the guy to the right stole his laser-helmet.....

why do you people care if stars are losing their hair? does it make you feel better? worry about your own hairloss

I'm afraid the answer to that one is "yes". Knowing that the likes of Stephen Dorff, Heath Ledger et al have hair problems just like us seems to give some of us a little hope.

Why? Because, even though they're a bit thin on top, they're still pinned on the walls of millions of beautiful women. Plus, some women just watch their movies because they're in them. Even if the movie is crap. Get my drift?

they get pieces, , etc..and women still like them because of the memory when they had hair. like mel gibson..he's losing his hair.... you don't see them with pictures of him now on their walls..it's pictures of when he had hair...if it makes you feel better,..good for you,..but it won't change women's perceptions of you without hair. you're just happy that they're going bald because you are. that's the sad truth. and it shows what kind of person you are. if the guy is a dick and has a full head of hair,..that's something but i feel bad for those nice guys who lose their hair. steven dorfh or whatever his name is is known for being a good guy

Aw, now come on. I am not "happy" with the fact that people like Dorff are going bald. What kinda talk is that? Did I say that? No, I didn't. I wouldn't wish hairloss upon my worst enemy.

I was simply pointing out that if people like him are still found attractive even though they're losing hair, surely the same the same can go for many of us, can't it?.And yes, I know we're not all rich n famous like them but as far as looks go, we still have a good sporting chance.

Oh and by the way, as far as I can see, Dorff, Ledger, Jude Law etc are as popular w/ the ladies today as they ever were. And they've all got receding hairlines.

The only point I concern myself is these stars (and their money) do not seem to battle their hairloss. Yes some get transplants, but others do not.

It is just another indication at the length of time it will be for a better alternative(s). We all talk about new medical news hitting reality in 2-4 or 5-10 years (e.g. stem cells). The problem is we said the same sh*t 5 years ago too. The only possible new FDA treatment seems to be Dutasteride, which will probably be somewhat better than Propecia but not as good as castration.

Yes we can slow, possibly maintain for a time, but we need some better (real) news. It seems these dermatology-esque issues (e.g. hair loss, acne) still are not wholly treatable.
