Hey im 19 years old, Im planning on seeing a dermatologist for it but I still cant stop stressing about my hair.

My temples look like they are receding but maybe they always looked that way,

My crown feels and looks thin

And also everytime i rub my head over a light table i can see about 15 hairs falling after doing that a minute and it is freaking me out.

My mothers side not balding but my father side kinda is

Please share your opinion

Go to a dermatologist they'd probably tell you to use minoxidil if you are losing hair genetically and generally get a blood test to check if you're in normal good health. You don't need more at that age.

I would go to a dermatologist and get a blood test done, if they confirm that the hairloss is genetics based, you could always try finasteride if you are very serious about it, it's a good way of stopping further hairloss although it is a huge commitment as you would need to take it for decades (it is the decision I took).

I dont see any signs of thinning whatsoever. Having a high, mature hairline or low hair density doesnt mean you have male pattern baldness.
People interpret everything that isnt a lucious, golden lion mane as "LMAO BALD CUCK, HOP ON FINASTERIDE BEFORE ITS TOO LATE".

You dont have male pattern baldness yet, man

I really want to just believe you and be over it but thats just not the way i am, What do you think about the rubbing my head thing? there is always hair falling off, i dont see none on my pillows or anything but if i rub it semi aggressivly then alot is coming off.

and ill also add that im very much in stress about everything in my life as you could probably tell already.

Minoxidil would work great on your hair loss type, any other option is out of the equation at this point.

Just go see a derm bro and make sure they take a microscopic picture of your hair.

Do you have any history of early balding in your family? And to me your crown looks quite thin, but this could be normal.

in my fathers family there is an history of early balding, but i very much resemble my mothers brothers and none of them are balding

You're too young for other more evasive treatments, specially since minoxidil works great on the crown and in diffuse thinners.

I think you'll be fine for the foreseeable future. You might have a tiny amount of recession, may or may not have crown thinning, I can't tell.

I'd just take pics, remember where and in six months take more in the same position under the same light and compare.

I receded to a nw2 when I was 22 and panicked. I thought I'd be totally bald by 30, but I'm 45 now and a 3 Vertex. Hair loss can proceed very slowly.

Humans are not perfect. Humans lose hair. You are a human. You are going to lose hair, wether you have male pattern baldness or not.

Whatever you do, stay away from minoxidil. Its going to wreck your hair
