Hey I'm new here (27 years old) , I recently noticed a drastic shedding over my crown area, I went to see a dermatologist (female one) she barely looked at me and prescribed finasteraide (I asked for it), my question is: that even look like Androgenic alopecia? I mean it happens so fast like over the course of 1 month I've lost almost all my crown, is it normal?? (See picture please) thanks you people.

Looks like 100% male pattern baldness. I'm in a similar boat, but haven't decided to risk Finasteride yet.

Your hair loss is very aggressive then. Take that Finasteride like candy and add in minoxidil for regrowth.

It is the definition of crown balding but i am really surprised this just happened in a month. You were thinning already a month ago but i think you should shoot up yourself with DHT for a change that drastic.

Dr75 what do you mean by "shoot up yourself with DHT" ?
He means injecting yourself with a potent androgen as maybe perhaps trenbolone, a steroid. It was meant as a joke, not that hairloss is anything funny especially with how fast you've progressed.

You can be saved, you seem to have enough active follicles so if you respond to finasteride and minoxidil you could gain plenty hair back.

Good luck, from one balding bro to another.

Get on treatments quick. Could reverse it. Good news is if the loss was very recent it is more likely that you can reverse it with treatments (finasteride and minoxidil). And goddamn, if that happened in 2 weeks that is some of the fastest hair loss I've seen. Even though you were clearly thinning in the other pic as well.

Theres no way you got to that stage in 1 month???

If possible post a pic from a year ago?

Basically, get on treatment asap, you might even want to even take the occasional extra 1mg every so often just to quicken/beef up the amount in your body during the first few months. This is kind of bad advice but if you are in a scenario and not recommended in the safety leaflets but realistically, it would still be safe if you're not going excessive...
