Is there a difference between .02-.03mm UTS and .06mm skin in terms of hotness while wearing?

I really prefer .06mm to thinner skin as I prefer the tougher poly. I don't give a sh*t about the near-neglible difference at the hairline in terms of realism.

.06 is basically tear proof while ultra thin poly is easy to tear & sheds more easily.

My thought is this though. If your head is covered by a poly base, does it make a difference in how hot it'll wear when you're looking at things like .02-.03mm & .06?

I remember there being no difference in the past, but I'm just asking before I reorder.

I can't go back to lace, as breathable as it, as the cleanup & hair pulling thru the base are too much to deal with...

Hybrid base maybe then?
Poly edge with French lace centre. Breathable like that.

Cleanup of full french lace base if used with tape isn't too hard.
With glue it will be a pain in the arse.

Spray lace release through the base where the hair is. So the tape stays on your scalp.
Use cotton wool to clean the residue off the base. Any remainder use C22 Solvent on a cotton wool ball.

I am using 0.08 poly and it can get quite hot in warm weather but I am a bit used to it. Tried Ultra thin skin 0.04 poly before. I loved the natural look and somewhat breathable base, but it was a bit fragile for me. I imagine 0.06 poly would be something in between.

My supplier advertise units as 0.03mm but the systems aren't fragile to the extent that some of the comments here suggest theirs are. I can easily remove and attach, with little problem of fragility, and the systems can last between 4 to 6 months.

When you order a poly or UTS, how do you trust you're getting the actual thickness you ordered? For example, how do I know I am actually wearing a 0.03mm UTS?

I don´t think they have differences in "hotness". If it´s covered, it´s covered. They say it´s somehow "breathable". I don´t think so. Maybe the poly is , but you also have glue all over your head ?!
I´ve only weared 0.04 mm but with my next system I will also go to 0.06 mm just because better cleaning, handling, more lifespan etc. Front Hairline doesn´t interest me unless it sticks on my head. No one who´s not in this will ever know you wear a hairpiece. There are lot of looks without showing your hairline which are looking good

You don't know.

I can tell minute differences. The utra UTS is easy to tear after heavy use while ~.06 is basically impossible to tear. It's so much more robust that the difference is insane.

I don't think they make a difference in terms of comfort of wearability.

I wouldn't go higher for reaons do to comfort & detectability. .006 looks natural enough imo; super thin skin is marginally more realistic but not worth the tradeoff

Because I can't use tape & use Ghostbond & it works better to just do your whole head.
I guess it doesn't breathe like that if you use Ghostbond on the entire scalp.
If so,I'd get crazy itching once I started to heavy sweat and the scalp couldn't breathe.
I got that with entire poly/UTS bases.

Can Ghostbond only be used on the perimeter?

Ya it can be used however you want but I find it works fine w full bonding over scalp protector. For whatever reason, it felt so hot and held so poorly until I added scalp protector to the equation.

So guys, I am thinking to turn into a UTS unit from French Lace but in terms of thickness and natural I see mixed reviews. I expose my hairline so it is important for the front part to be nearly invisible but I also want the system last at least 4 months or so...
So for instance does 04mm, 05mm and 06mm units meet the aformentioned expectations?

Go for 0,04. It will give you a decent hairline and it will last for ~4 months. Maybe a little less

I was thinking of a 05, is it invisible in the front? Cause what I am hearing is it can go as far as 06 in terms of invisibility.

0,04 is nearly invisible if fresh glue etc.
Don´t know if you see a real difference from 0,04 to 0,05.
But you see and feel a real difference from 0,04 to 0,08. You can just feel it and I can´t imagine that a 0,08 system would be great for exposing the hairline
