Is there a study that proves finasteride's sexual side effects reversible?

Can anyone find a study that really followed the men up who got sexual dysfunction while taking finasteride and made sure it resolved?

Sperm count is something very regeneratable. It can fix itself easily. But I'm talking about libido and erectile dysfunction. Do these also resolve once you really get them while on the drug?

These are not proper cohort studies they are doing. They're again just looking at the people from propeciahelp.com having several very diverse symptoms after quitting the drug and trying to find a cause for them. And those people didn't definitely get sexual sides while on the drug. I want to see a proper placebo controlled study.

Good science is reproducible, repeatable.

Alright, found it all by myself. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9951956 "Of the 11 finasteriderecipients (1.2%) who withdrew because of a drug-
related sexual disorder, 4 reported resolution prior
to, and 7 reported resolution after, treatment cessa-
tion. All 8 placebo recipients (0.9%) who withdrew
because of a drug-related sexual disorder reported
resolution after treatment withdrawal."

Because they are collected from an ED forum. You don't know their history. They also have depression which could very well be the reason for erectile dysfunction. It's like the worst of cross-sectional studies.

I'd say if you are looking to do a study of men suffering continual issues from finasteride then the propeciahelp site would be the best place to start.

There should be more studies done on finasteride, not on random men who have taken the drug complaining every common health issue. You can't nowadays tell who in that place is serious and who not and who is really suffering from persistent side effects by the drug. It has grown out to a general health forum now.
