preventive maintenance

plenty have stopped hair loss in its tracks before it got too bad, same with cancers that have high survival rates

some with hair loss have had good regrowth for many years, look in the success forums, especially diffuse thinners

Yes, there are stories of people who use rogaine and finasteride for 10 years and more and stopped the loss, one guy used minoxidil for 20 years and kept his hair, if you catch it early enough then you can maintain as long as you on treatment.

There are several ways to reverse hairloss, but the side-effects and sacrifices one must make might not be to everyone's taste...

Rogaine has no sides and if your scared of finasteride get revivogen or spironolactone

Rogaine has no sides.....

Well that's completely incorrect. Where did you get that idea? The possible side effects are noted right on the box.

Increased facial hair growth that's what you call a side effect?

hate to break it to you man but its most likely in your head

last year, when i was talking about having "heart" sensations?

yea i got it checked out a million ways at the doctors, everything was fine

all they told me was that my sensations were anxiety, ive had anxiety before rogaine and now i realize they were right . . .

i've been using rogaine for 6 months now

the main side is some itchiness at first

I get a horrible reaction to minoxidil, similar to an allergy.

Puffy eyes, rash, itching, congestion etc; tried it a couple of times and always the same results. I even tried the weakest generic version from Walgreen's, horrible experience,

Ok now you sound ignorant. The package very clearly states: Chest pains, rapid heartbeat, faintness, sudden unexplained weight gain, hands or feet swelling.

These are all possible side effects from systemic absorption of minoxidil, and if you've been around here long enough you would know that some people have them.

i wish it was in my head :dunno: my heart almost exploded and my cheeks were swollen like balloons... the doctor saw me and told me not to go anywhere near that stuff because im extremely allergic to it.... the b**ch is that i cant take finasteride too, because when i did i had an ache behind my junk.. so that could be placebo, but its enough for me to stay away from finasteride too... im doomed to get bald :)

Yes, I call that a side effect. My facial hair is already too bushy. It is why I do not take minoxidil.

For some of us 'baby faced' people, that's not completely undesired. I've enjoyed my semi-beard! Lots more attention from girls! If I shave, I get carded everywhere.

Perhaps no sides for you and I, but everyone has a different genetic make-up. I'm sure some people are allergic to minoxidil.
