Is This male pattern baldness? Or Just A Mature Hair Line?

• 25 year old male
• Dad is mid 50's and has full head of hair
• All men on my mom's side have male pattern baldness
• I still have a full, thick head of hair like I always have except I feel like there is some thinning and miniaturization at the hairline. Temples definitely have receded. Hairline looks pretty good when dry, but when wet and slicked back it clearly looks receded to me. Think I would be classified as Norwood 2
  
• Been on 1 mg finasteride and twice daily minoxidil on the hairline since July.
  
• Dont feel like it is really helping at all and I feel like my hairline is receding.
  
• I get lots of compliments on my hair. Not one person has ever said anything and in fact when the balding subject comes up among friends, they laugh and say that I will never have to worry about balding.
  
• I have uploaded some pictures. The first pic is from April 2016. The rest are from the past week or 2.

Am I in the early stages of balding? Or is this just a normal mature hairline?

dam u got nice facial bones no homo. I don't think you have anything to worry about IMO, you are closer to norwood 1 than 2 for sure. Just keep an eye on it but don't worry about it because your hair is epic as it currently stands.

Did a doctor write you a script for Finasteride? If he did he must have seen SOMETHING wrong, just stay on treatments and hope for the best. Your hair looks great nonetheless.

I went to supposedly the top 2 hairloss centers in my state. The first one said that there is miniaturization going on, but he would not give me finasteride. He then was pressuring me to buy laser helmets and other medication that I read doesn't work. It felt like a scam.

2nd place pretty much just listened to me talk and wrote me the script without really telling me anything. Dont think they even looked at my hairline

If the one doctor said there was miniaturization going on I would just stick with Finasteride and hope for the best. Like I said your hair looks amazing still nonetheless.

Your hair at this point in time looks awesome man, but I can't deny the recession and temple points weakening on the first pic. You could def wait it out and look for any more signs to confirm the balding, you still have a great head of hair

Update from today. Recently cut the sides short and kept the top long. Stylist always marvels at how thick my hair is. Thickness isnt a problem. Just the hairline worries me at times. Is this the early stages of receding?

Yes thats the early stage of balding, you just caught it really early. I would have tried finasteride first wothout minoxidil so you could see what works.
