Is this male pattern baldness?

I've been losing a lot of hair this summer and now some of it is starting to come back but my hair is still pretty thin. I'm curious whether or not you guys think this is male pattern baldness. The hair on my hairline is starting to grow back in patches right now. I can see little hairs popping up at the front of my hairline but it seems like my crown is still suffering as you can see in the pictures. Is this normal for male pattern baldness?

There are two options: (1) you have naturally fine hair or (2) your hair is thinning and your hairline is receding. Hair popping up might be small miniaturized hair that are just getting weaker and weaker. I would go on the Big 3 if I were you.
