I used to go through INTENSE shedding and itching when I was younger. I scratched my head and dandruff literally covered my shoulders, and I was shedding like a madman. My hair looked totally fine for years after that (I was 14/\15, I'm 21 now), it got worse this year and I didn't experience massive shedding or itching but my hair got thin in a matter of months.
It started in February, I fell into a depressive state which continued until June, after a very horrible time for me that started the year before. Turns out I had a massive infection going on which resulted in pneumonia, I think that's what's caused the depression and thinning, I've been over the edge for about two years and my body was weakened to the point that even a sore throat took weeks to heal and I lost about 20kgs.
I guess what I want to say is: take care of yourself, do breathing exercises, eat healthy and try your best to enjoy life. Massage your head everyday, brush your hair and don't worry about the shedding that it causes. If you see the situation getting worse, consider taking supplements and if it keeps getting worse, consider medications. Stress is something you want to avoid at allo cost, and not just for the hair. Also, your crown looks completely normal, my 10 years old brother has got the same "hole" in it.
