Does anybody have good success stories with minoxidil if finasteride wasnt doing much. Im on finasteride nearly 4 years and my hair is getting worse it maybe slowed my male pattern baldness but i ant be sure, im thinking about rogaine but you only ever hear of shedding and peachfuzz growth.

minoxidil just gave me a bit thicker hair but for regrowth hair or maintain it, minoxidil did not alot for me. I used minoxidil and finasteride for 8 months and i went from nw3 to nw2, then i tried minoxidil alone because i thought i could maintain my gains but i went from nw2 to a bad nw3 in 6 months, now i'm on finasteride alone and i slowly going back to the point i was a year ago. So i don't think minoxidil would help me alot.. Maybe i could benefit a little bit in the crown from minoxidil but on the temple i wont regrow more than fuzz..

Man your lucky that finasteride is working for you, my male pattern baldness progressing towards nw3.5 but i have thick crown and forelock. sstarting to think im getting gyno from finasteride though so thats why i was really hoping for something new this year to get off it.

Gyno is the least of a finasteride users worries, try having an out of order penis.

This damn announcement from Fidia, though I'm thankful for it, has given us more questions than answers arghh

When I used both, minoxidil worked well to thicken things up. Check out bluemoon1212's success story if you want some inspiration.

Minoxidil did way more than peachfuzz for me and I'm not even on finasteride. NW2.5 to NW2. It grew new hairs along my hairline.

The thing is there are good responders and bad responders, currently the only way to find out is to try it.

Can confirm that minoxidil has great potential to those who are responding well. I'm on my way back to NW1, even my Temple points/ triangles are crawling forward :D. But I hopped on Finasterid on Friday because I don't trust Minoxidil alone, especially in the long run. I'll post after 3 more months if there's a full recovery.

Ok i think i will try it can i order it off the net or do i just go to a local chemist, iknow its there but its handier to just order online if possible. I always thought if you are only an average responder to finasteride you wouldnt have any hope on minoxidil. BTW is the foam the best and is there an inevitable shed which i really could do without. Thanks for info.

WOW just seen that guys progress amazing, i will try it and hope that i respond well but i find it hard to believe i will if i didnt respond well to finasteride, i hope my logic is wrong ha.

I just re read the official statement from Fidia and you guys are crazy!

The company said alopecia. They didn't specify, which is good for us. It means they may know it works for AA and Androgenetic Alopecia. Secondly, they said they want to release it BY 2018. To me, that means by January 1, 2018 the lotion will be available.

I think that's good news. Idk why everyone is so upset to be honest.

Agreed!

and the "areata" conspiracy needs to die, it's obvious they intend to market it for multiple types of hair loss. Hopefully we'll hear some news in the coming months, I have a feeling going forward fidia will be more transparent to avoid getting thousands of emails from crazy people.

The statement in English on Fidia's English site
http://www.fidiapharma.com/en/news/prof-brotzu-s-hair-loss-remedy,3,115

The lotion is for all forms of Alopecia it says it clearly in the statement below, note the text in bold that says "Alopecia... all patients who are affected by the problem"

"Alopecia (hair loss) is not a life-threatening disease, nevertheless it can cause serious distress in people. Fidia has made a strong commitment to research and development, to offer all patients who are affected by the problem, a real treatment option – effective, safe and stable – at the end of the entire study."

In 2018 the "potential product candidate" will hopefully be completed, so who knows when the final product will be available to buy, 2019?? anyways at the very least a year and a half from now.

"neither exact launch plans nor time-to-market priorities have been defined for the product yet, although we envisage the development of the potential product candidate being completed by 2018."

They changed the translation from Alopecia Areata to simply Alopecia after some minutes/hours. That's why many here are pissed and even more disappointed and think Fidia tries to fake things or I don't know. You may missed that. I don't have an opinion on this. Could mean everything.

But I agree, I also think this are good news. Maybe not as expected, but expectations were too high anyway.
