I recently had a look in the Brotzu interview. Can someone tell me, why in the world there was no question out of 25 regarding finasterid and minoxidil. If he thinks the lotion is able to perform better, same or worse.

Go to the first page of this blog. There are 2 interview links in the first post. One of those interviews addresses minoxidil and finasteride. Brotzu said the lotion will be capable of replacing these treatments.

You must have caught the one interview where it isn't mentioned.

I was excited about this Brotzu lotion, but in an interview he said it's been really effective for young people - the younger the better - up to 25 years old patients responded well. And over 40 it was less effective - whatever that means. Sounds like for everyone over 25 there's not much to hope for :(

Here's the interview: http://bellicapelliforum.com/en/interview/exclusive-interview-with-dr-brotzu-for-bellicapelli/

Seems like a very arbitrary observation. You could have a 30 year old with only two or three years worth of hair loss and on the flip side a 23 year old who started balding at 16. One would think the first case would respond better to treatments despite being older.

Yeah I agree, it doesn't really make sense to me either. Also apparently he said it could reverse the hairloss of the past 5 years. So in theory, it shouldn't make a difference if you're 20 and started losing your hair with 15 or if you're 40.... I guess we just need to try it out :p

No, I woulnd't pay 1.000€ for a 3 month supply of a lotion that has proven nothing

As a mere student I'd say I couldn't really afford to pay more than 15 for a month's supply, and I believe the company has to be realistic when it determines its price. They'll scare off a lot of potential customers if they aren't.

If its proven to replace finasteride and minoxidil. Then you could sell it for 20-30 bucks easily.

I assume as with all drugs they will adjust the price according to the country/region. In Munich 15 Euro is a large beer.

If this stuff works, I fully expect it to be closer to $100 a bottle. They sell shampoos that don't do sh*t, but say they have "X" ingredient in them which does "Y" and women placebo themselves into thinking it makes a difference and so they buy it hand over fist at 3-digit prices.

Can you imagine what you could sell something for if it actually does something?

It really is starting to drag out now, fidia have been exceptionally quiet on the whole matter. Also i wouldn't be hopeful of brotzu mentioning much about Androgenetic Alopecia in November as id say fidia is in total control of who will release trial results and who can talk about the lotion in relation to Androgenetic Alopecia. I hope its mot much longer as i am off finasteride 2 weeks now so hopefully some good news soon.

I think it's different because one is a cosmetic while the other a product sold to pharmacies.

As I understand it, this is being trialed as a cosmetic using already approved ingredients. Someone jump in if this is wrong, but I don't know that there is any of sort of obligation for FIDIA to even release the results of the trial publicly.

It literally could just be that one day you just start seeing advertisements for it and suddenly it's on store shelves.

If this is 100 a bottle I might just go with finasteride instead. Taking a pill is much easier and finasteride is much cheaper too so really even if this does work as promised finasteride is still the better value. Unless your a millionaire or dumb about your money

Finasteride really does not work for many people me included and this will not be interfering with your hormones like finasteride does.

Yeah that sounds about right, but i would think that if the trial was very successful they would release results and start advertising before it hits the shelves. If it just appeared on shelves without some news communication from fidia it would lead me to believe the lotion was not all that useful, say like bioxsine shampoo.

thanks for this interview. The 133 pages of nonsense/sh*t/trash talking turned into one value post which obviously it makes tl;dr stories non valuable

ps think link should be attached at every page on this thread.

common sense would tell you that it is going to be more effective in people with earlier stage hairloss who are generally younger.
