Optimism is fine, but you're taking it to the point of delusion now.
The lotion is only coming out if it proves to be a viable product and one that the market would actually buy. Otherwise, they're losing money.
It's completely within the realm of possibility that it will disappoint and get shelved.

This is very true but I do think it has a higher chance of releasing rather than not considering all the information we've gotten from Brotzu, especially given that recently he called the six months result excellent. I do think it's very possible that it will not live up to all the expectations that many people here have set for it, including myself. But even if it only works slightly better than minoxidil I think FIDIA will release it because there is still a ton of people out there who will buy it.

I know this is late but if I'm correct basically he is saying that a company will say a year even if they actually only need a half a year (in case of problems and such). Because if they were to come out and say half a year and then end up actually needing a full year, that would be risky.
So imagine they announced trials ended in June, then June came around and they decided that they needed another 6 to 12 months. The backlash for that would be massive just on this site alone. Now hypothetically lets say the reverse happened, and they said they needed a year or so (as they did) and they actual managed to get everything done before that and release it "ahead of schedule," the praise would be enormous.

Outside of hair loss forums, people who would be potential customers of this lotion aren't paying the slightest bit of attention to the release schedule of this or any other hair loss product.

True but it seems like FIDIA does pay some attention to the forums. In their official statement they mentioned the many emails they received about the product. Plus I think someone had mentioned that FIDIA was actually active at one point in the Italian forum. So I do think the forums matter to them at least somewhat. I would bet that they know that we would be the first "wave," so to speak, of customers who would be willing to buy this product right out the gate, as many people who are uninformed would write it off as a snake oil until the lotion actually proved successful on the market. It reminds of when P90X was coming out and no one took it seriously until they saw people they actually knew getting results from the program. Word of mouth is huge when it comes to this kind of thing.

He's talking about customers. Potential customers aren't paying attention to the lotion, outside of hair loss forum members.

Oh yeah i got that, sorry it's really late where I am hahah what I meant by all of that is that yes you are right. The majority of costumers are not paying attention to the release date and probably don't even know that this product even exists. However there are a few (the people of the forums) who do pay attention and I think those people are important to FIDIA because they are the people who are going to buy this thing the literal second it's available and be the "word of mouth" so to speak. So I think they are making the timeline vague as to not make us upset (which ironically, makes us upset) I say that because I don't think they would have even made an annoucement if January if they weren't trying to get on our good side, even if it wasn't exactly what we wanted to hear.
Anyways I didn't write the original post, I just tried to better translate it. But it's very possible that FIDIA really meant "hey we are seriously going to be testing this thing for another 12-24 months because we actually do need all that time." But I think it's also possible that they only said that in case they took longer to solve the issues than anticipated. (which according to many people on here, Brotzu says have been solved?)
If this is the case and as of the Brotzu interview (June) they have solved the stability issue, I can see a few things happening. If the stability issue was what they have been testing since January, (or before that... I don't really know he just said 6 months), then it's possible, unlikely but possible, that the trials are actually done and now they may be ready to move onto the next step. However, if the trials just gave them the information to solve whatever issue they've been having, they will most likely run another trial to verify it is indeed solved. With this all considered here is my estimate (which is nothing of worth but I've already written this much so whatevs). I personally believe that the product will release in 6-12 months, aka the first half of 2018. But that's just my opinion. I would love to see them pull a surprise and announce that everything is done and it's coming out this fall/winter but I really doubt that's going to happen (although I would love to be proven wrong, October has always been notoriously kind to me.)

An October surprise! I just think that Fidia or any other pharmaceutical is not trying to read the tea leaves or catch us off guard or whatever. If they believe in the product they will advertise it and put it out when ready. The machinations of keeping a hair loss forum in or out of the loop won't factor in. Unless maybe we ponied up a huge investment. Like say if nameless gives them 200 buckeroos. That'll get us far!

Spend the next 3 months getting a ripped body to go with your new mane! hahaha But yeah who knows really, I just hope we get at least an update at some point this year from FIDIA, but I'm not a high enough power to go to them and ask that sort of thing.
Fidia already gave us an update stating that they are working on the product. What more is it that you want? Monthly updates from Fidia? Not gonna happen. This bi-polar behavior is getting fuckin' tedious. It might never come out but they said by 2018 so...

Well its been 6 months since we last heard from Fidia... So something even small would be nice..
Yeah they should at least give an update at the end of 2017. If not, they will certainly be bombared again by tons of mails and phone calls in December... If this happens they should not complain about it. They definitely deserve it and are again forced to update their news page. "Androgenetic Alopecia is not a life threatening disease".... yeah but it's a life destroying disease and they know exactly how much hyped many of us are because of the words of the man who created this lotion. Now some of you might think again: "They are a famous company and they didn't promise us anything bla bla bla etc."
If it works we should know this by the end of 2017 and they should tell us when market launch is expected. If this is a serious company they must know this and they should inform us in a few months. According to Brotzu their stability issues are solved and it should come out fairly soon... Hopefully fairly soon means January 2018...
