Other qualities do come into play. Anyone on here who tells you it's all looks is either (A) unremittingly cynical or (B) doesn't care at all to have their opinions influenced by biological or psychological science. There's also a chance that when you talk about some girls only being interested in looks that you're talking about girls with the mental age of 18 or thereabout who've yet to come into any higher mode of being and who you should do your best to have nothing to do with anyways.
If anyone's on here complaining that they're not gonna be able to catch a decent girl with a good head on her shoulders (which is a surprisingly important thing that people often seem to refuse attention) because all she's interested in is looks, then that person should go give themselves a good long looking over (and I'm not talking about esthetically). I'm not gonna say that it has NO impact whatsoever on some people's reading of you, because it very obviously does, but you better be realistic about just how much it does for your own sake. I think everybody here could probably agree that a girl would rather take a bald guy who has a good deal of confidence and actually works to make things better for himself and those around him than some fuckboi who spends all his time feeling sorry for himself.

@tjnpdx I have a very similar opinion to you, despite sounding "naive" or "blue pill". But the video @Xander94 posted is absolutely brutal and the dating experiment does prove a point. I just hope that not all girls are like the one in that dating site or I will need saint Brotzu now more than ever.
