Man Christmas would be a lot more upbeat if they put out a positive statement, wish they would

For Italians it is tradition to give pernicious gifts for Christmas, rather than benevolent ones. They also call it Satanmas, instead, for reasons I’m sure you can discern. They, through acquiring the Brotzu potion, have become themselves bearers of light, illuminating you to the fullest degree about your balding-state. Thank the Italians for self-consciousness.

Typical Italy. I cant imagine any other country where company can be closed for 3 weeks. Last year I got free day only 24,25 becase it was weekend. Then normal workdays. And yet people ask how so the italian economy is having problems :-D

that is false... schools will be closed for 3 weeks, companies will be closed 25-26 and 1st jan. if fidia closes for 3 weeks it's their own choice

I'm not sure I understand. Is their update like really new or is it the lastest status that appears to have been posted half a year ago. If it is the latter, I'd be gobsmacked as to how this thread of all places could be 6 months behind on news. Seeing as how everyone seems happy that there is intention to grant the patent, I assume that the last updated status really is the source of current excitement.

Thats just how most european countries write their date, its backwards. It actually means Decemeber 6 2017.

Loool but in all fairness, many people find it natural to verbally report the date in that order:
"It was December 6th, 2017" (m/d/y). I used to live outside the us and would use the other format as a kid. I personally find both equally convenient. But I just got confused in this case; should have noticed it was written as d.m.y not m-d-y

I get lost by the date a lot. There should be some mark after date to let people know which form it is. Like time you have am and pm.

Well everyone it seems like this will get released after all, now it is just experiencing ourselves how good it truly is next year. For the ones who know more about patents, how long does it usually take for one to be granted? Or does it differ per pattern and per country?

I already wrote this here. Since the examinatiom start it takes at least 2 month until a year. Most common is 5-6 month. Patent is inteded to be granted. By what I found is final step where some documentation fillings, applicants statement must be made and some other little things. Probably 1-2 months till granted patent.

Well yeah it is a good sign but how can you say it will be released afterall?

There could be a million other reasons unrelated to patent law that cause problems with release.

It's good news in that it shows that people are trying to get this thing together and that patent law likely won't be a problem that kills the project.

So I mean if anyone thought that those two things are the main obstacles, then they can feel relieved.

But I think most people are more worried about the stability, efficacy, and approval process as potential barriers to release - and this update doesn't address any of those.

Oh my god. Wasn't there some patent lawyer who told you that patent means nothing at all.
It could be out as long as patent application is filled (the first f*****g step which takes a minimum amount of time / pending patent), approval is not necessary and may sometimes come 10 years later.
Stop overhyping things, Jesus you're very bad detectives who keep forgetting things.

SO - NO NEWS AS ALWAYS, ONLY SPECULATION.

At least we know that Fidia still trusts the lotion. We are better now than we were last December. But we need to keep pushing Fidia, so they publish a press release in January like they did eleven months ago.

So, to be clear: once they have filed the patent, does it need to be granted/approved or validated before Fidia sells the Brotion? Can they do it before they get that?
The patent doesn't need to be approved to sell the product.
Just patent application is enough which was done in 2015 already.
