Of course other pharmacies cant exactly copy it. However, they can find out the mechanism and make other substances with same or better results. Pharmacies do it a lot. Sometimes you dont even have to change it so much. Like here on gourmetstylewellness.com is quite popular certizine. It was developed by UCB as Zyrtec. You know how they increased its effectivity? They changed the rotation of certizine molecule to the left and levocetirizine (Xyzal) was made. (I am not a chemist etc. I just worked there.) Even though it was just different rotation of the same molecule they had to patent it again. So If they overprice it I believe, that other pharmacies would feel a chance there.
What is bigger question for me is... How they gonna solve the US market? FDA won´t let them just enter it and I doubt they would deny that strong buying power.

If we suppose that it's just a finasteride without sides it will still be gold for so freaking many people. If it's finasteride without sides plus good minoxidil responder regrowth that it would be more than gold, if it's even better then I don't know what to call it. The market will be huge. We all saw that reddit post about the korean research that got 15k upvotes. Imagine if this works the kind of popularity it will get.
I see no way of it being 100 euro per month. If I am not mistaken the price of the patent of 1 mil euros. Plus they have been spending on R&D, but I doubt the investment in that is so big that would drive the price so high.
Just to do some calculations. I am assuming a price of 50 euro per 3 months supply which is something like 17 euro per month, or 200 euro per year. With just 1 mil users globally they make 200 mil euro per year. Don't know how much it will cost to make it , but I think 1 year will be more than enough to recoup all the investment in this.
If this works and thats a big if, it will be the first working treatment since finasteride with none of the sides, and which you can get without a prescription. I love our fantasies. I’m gonna start an ASMR where I just whisper and wildly speculate on upcoming treatments.
Everyone is different, but for me id risk the sides with propecia if it saved me enough money over this lotion if they worked very similar. If propecia really screwed with you then maybe this is a backup option. male pattern baldness just needs other options. If propecia fails you today your pretty much toast.
Bare in mind Polichem (topical finasteride) is very soon to finish phase III trials, which so far have reported 15 times less systemic exposure but with equal if not better reduction of DHT in the scalp, so hopefully that should dramatically reduce sides.
I'm hoping we can copy their vehichle, definitely would be a game changer, we'd be able to use strong anti androgens with very little systematic absorption.

Polichem is actually running trials to verify that the DHT is not significantly affected. H&W has a skin permeation test but that's it.
H&W claim reduced side effects without actually showing hormone tests.
