I have just started considering treatment but I need something to stop the itchiness and the hair in the front from hurting. My hair thinned out in the front down the middle almost to the crown region. I want my self confidence back. In my current condition I don't even want to consider dating. By the way I am 29 and have been losing hair for the last six years. What should I do? Thanks for any input.

You should get on propecia and nizoral shampoo straight away. Give it 6 months and then consider if you need to add minoxidil aswell.

I used to get the feeling that my hair hurt if I touched it, but nizoral cured this, it will help with the itch too.

Probably you have seborraique dermatitis. It's tough disease.

Do you have attached white or gray skin in your scalp?

Use a topical called STOPAIN... It contains, MSM, PEPPERMINT OIL, MENTHOL, GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE,EUCALYPTIS OIL, BOSWELLA SERRATE... It was made as a topical for arthritis, but i use it for the same reason as you... Use it at night, cause it smells, but there is NOTHING that works better, and ive tried them all my friend...

I am still on the fence about taking propecia. I take other drugs and am wondering about interactions and liver/organ problems.

Do you have attached white or gray skin in your scalp? Not that I know of. My hair just feels brittle and hurts and gets itchy.

Is propecia really worth the effort? Or is acceptance just a better pathway? I am really depressed over this though. I am just so confused. I m at the point where it is really going to be noticeable. What to do..... :freaked2:

Mate,

Fish Oil works wonders for me. At least four grams per day should help.

If you can "accept" it as being your path to salvation then hats off to you!

Though I would not concede to accepting hair loss until I had tried a few treatments including Propecia.
