Hey guys, I just had a quick question about my scalp being itchy and hair loss, I recently cut my hair short and my scalp has been itchy everytime I am outside or in a heated place, and when I scratch the area I tend to lose some hair from that area, could this just be due to a sensitive scalp or is this something I should be worried about. The main areas where the itching is, is around my crown and my parting. Thanks!

Itchy scalp =/= hair loss.

They're often correlated, but an itchy scalp does not necessarily mean hair loss. Could you post some pics of your hair, preferably both dry and wet? It's hard to give advice without pictures. Thanks.

Looks just like a cowlick so far. Monitor that area every 3 months if you're really worried though. Your hair density and your hairline are great. You have more density thant I do, lol. Do you have dandruff?
Mild dandruff, a year ago I had really bad dandruff, sometimes with clusters of dandruff forming in one area, thanks for the advice though

Using Nizoral 1% (or any ketoconazole-based shampoo) a few days a week can help with dandruff, if it bothers you.

I used medicinal shampoo earlier but that didn't work all that well for me, now I use head and shoulders and tbh I have been really happy with it Ive gotten rid of the clustered dandruff too.

Yeah, that's a pretty good brand for scalp itching. Glad it's working for you.
