It's time to acknowledge that RU is DANGEROUS

To make it brief: over the past few years, every other RU thread is about the horrible, potentially life threatening side affects that it inflicts upon the user, most notably:

Chest/back pain
Shortness of breath
Weakness
Severe reflux
High blood pressure

We need to stop recommending this poison to people. A lot of people have gotten, and will continue to get hurt/ill over a treatment that doesn't even gave consistent results.

Yeah use the forum search function for "RU" and you'll see people complaining about these sides. Google "RU chest pain" and you'll see more from other communities. It's far from being just 1 or 2 fringe cases.

I can't provide you any scientific studies because, as everyone knows, RU research was dropped.

So you have no proof for your claims, just anecdotes on forums from people who are highly suggestible and prone to nocebo. Thanks! The only information we have from controlled clinical trials is that it has a good safety profile, so the onus is on you to provide some PROOF of your claim

You're being disingenuous. The only thing we are able to obtain is anecdotes because NOBODY is doing research on RU. Besides that, as of right now, most of what the community experiments with is FIRST looked at through human trials, animal trials or even just alleged method of action and THEN efficacy is decided through anecdotes of the community. You'd be hypocritical to not apply this same process to RU.

When I did my own n=1 I had no idea RU was capable of harming me. I couldn't have possibly nocebo'd myself. Many others were in a similar situation to me because internet gurus hype RU as the ultimate side-free AA. That's clearly not the case.

It was dropped because it wouldn't have been very profitable due to the small market for such a drug, lack of insurance coverage, cheap generic finasteride, and a patent that was about to expire. The combined company decided their resources could generate more significant profits if used to pursue other options. If the drug had been dropped due to safety issues in the trial they would not have been able to lie to investors and tell them they were shopping it around.

I understand the empirical evidence shows that RU is safe, and I'm aware of everything you've posted, however I did get seriously ill, and so have others. We have all considered the possibility of anxiety/nocebo, but the effects were severe and in some of our cases completely by surprise. Even of it wasn't SOLELY the fault of RU, this is definitely a phenomena that is going on and needs to be recognized.

I do believe concerns like this. Not everything out there has the funding to provide sufficient amounts of truly independent studies. In a world full of corruption in every sector, including the hairloss industry, lack of studies doesn't mean lack of truth or evidence. If there are lots of people online voicing their opinions about something being bad/harmful to them, it is something to be concerned about and take caution.

For example, when you buy a product online, most people look at the reviews. It's very easy to have new accounts or bots give false reviews or pay people to write positive reviews, in this day and age that is a form of marketing.
Most sane people wouldn't buy a product if there's a reasonable amount of people complaining about the product or service, the same concept can be used for the medical field.

Often times, it's the patients or users or medications that are the ones to find side effects that were understated or unknown after the initial studies were done.

I'm not saying RU or even Finasteride doesn't work for everyone because I know it does work for some people, but there's also a lot more people that it doesn't work for or that get sides that companies don't want us to know about, which is why anecdotal evidence like people complaining online is something to take note of.

It's important to know how to be an independent thinker and not following like sheep based on the only available information like current studies out there, etc.

Was there ever any proof of the conversation or is it just here say? I’m personally quite sceptical about RU there’s very few success stories with it (hardly any where the person has been using only RU) and a few negative reports which are worth considering.

I as well as a few close friends/fam have been using it with zero side effects for over 10yrs, with me only using it on aas cycles. I've deduced most of these posts about having to go to ER etc are either from trolls lacking real life attention, those with agendas, and those who are getting impure or fake sh*t

It's a maintenance drug. The goal is to keep what you have. I wouldn't expect a large increase in density if that's what you're looking for.

He never showed any proof, but he had no reason to make it up. Combine that with the fact that the company was telling investors that they were shopping the drug around, and it seems reasonable to assume it's true. The SEC would have a problem with Prostraken telling investors they have a drug that could bring them money when they know they can't sell it due to safety results. This would actually be illegal. I don't think the company would break the law for the minor benefit of making investors think they could sell RU(a small part of their portfolio) to another company.

That's my only concern with using RU. It's hard to know what impurities are in it.
