Ok well Im into body building pretty hard. I lift weights 4 times a week.

Ive heard from some people that once you start Propecia that its harder than usual to put on muscle. Is this just a theory or is there proof behind it?

Any studies that show this?

Thanks for the help.

no not true, actually quite the opposite, finasteride actually raises testosterone levels, and can improve muscle gains from physical activity. That's why it is banned in some sports, besides from the fact that it is also used to mask other drugs

do you have any studies to back that up... Id be quiet interested to read them.

i have heard that many weigt lifters take it just because of the increased risk of hairloss that goes along with weight lifting.

I think those are steroid users... pretty sure. Increased testosterone and the potential to convert in DHT and androgens... just a precaution.
