Well guys, it's been a long time since i posted in this fourm. it's been 4 years now since i found this place and have been on various treatments (finasteride, minoxidil, oral spironolactone, dutasteride, supplments of all types, etc...) and nothing can stop the hairloss. i went from a nw1 with some diffused loss at the top 4 years ago to a nw2 with a clear thin crown. i guess the last thing to try is changing my diet, controling the carb intake, and controling my blood sugar. i hear it stops the loss for some, so it's worth a try. i guess of all the things, this one is going to be the hardest since it reuqires the biggest change. i still will stick with the big 3, maybe it's at least slowing down the loss.
i guess i will never see hair like elvis again, but at least i can feel healthy.

Dude NW1 to NW2 in 4 years isnt that bad...if you had not been taking the meds maybe you would be a NW5 right now...I say if you stay at NW2 for a while you can always consider a transplant for improvements

Yeah I went from a Norwood 6 to a 1 in 2 years doing nothing but scalp exercises! If you believe that I also have some penis enlargement pills, and atleast that way you can have some fun. Just email me with your SSN number and Ill get back with you as soon as I can.

i'm not saying the scalp exercises will make u go from an NW6 to NW1 in a year, but the science behind it is certainly encouraging. and besides, just do them for 5 minutes and u can feel the increased blood around your hairline.

There is no science behind scalp exercises, and the claimed "theories" have no basis experimentally. Balding is caused by androgens, and it is stopped by taking anti-androgens. These exercises do nothing against these fundamental attributes of male pattern baldness.

Ams99:
I assume you're still on dusteride? Good idea .. it's more likely to block 5ar if you're one of a few people with a variant genentic form that finasteride cannot block. It is possible that male pattern baldness in you is caused equally by testosterone and DHT. In which case inhibiting DHT is only half the battle. Not even spironolactone sounded strong enough for you.

If that's the case, you have no choice but to try and prevent the hair cells form dying, using growth stimulants. Things to try would be topical caffeine, copper peptides, topical procyanidins, and topical adenosine.

Diet change can only bring good things too!
