Truly I say unto you, this is a mystery which no man can fathom.

When you have a hair cut that involves zero style, and its basically nothing more than a long "mop" ... yes ... it is possible to grow your hair down the front.

Behold, these mysteries of the universe which I reveal unto you must not be revealed to others until the proper time has come.

lol ^^^

Admin is dead on. I have a friend who's hair is kind like that and it looks freaking ridiculous when its windy or gets messy. Looks great when its either short or when its long and he is in a room with zero wind.

Another reason why receders don't have it as bad as diffusers.

You can NEVER do what Black is doing if you're a diffuser. As a diffuser you have to cut your side and back hair short while growing out and compressing your top hair in order to create the illusion of evenness. Covering temples is easy as long is it doesn't go too far up.

I'm a diffuser and I keep my hair quite long, you can't tell at this length. So long hair works for diffusers too. It's short hair that can really screw us.

Then you are not diffusing as badly, because for it to be noticeable the hair on top needs to look a bit lighter and the side/back should be darker, but if you are thinning that's probably the case, as with me.

Dang ..guys 40 years old IMO looks better receded. Makes him look his age without totally appearing bald but rather, gives him a more accomplished look. Im 42 and share that same hairline and will be okay if I maintain. Yeah windy days suck *** when you drape it long, its why I keep is short. SOme guys can just get away with the receded look I guess. I think Jack Black, Sting and the new 007 guy can totally pull it off. I also thought Mathew MConoghhay pulled it off as well in U571 until he went and got his hair transplants. BTW...please somebody hand that s.o.b a shirt or something. ENough of his shirtless *** already! :jackit:

Yeah I think recession on NW2-3 pattern as you get older actually looks good on most men.

Take for instance Thomas Jane, he looked too baby face when he was a NW2ish

The main thing that changed is his face. The hair doesn't have much to do with it.

I thought of letting my hair grow a bit, but it just looks horrible.

I don't know how other balding guys manage it, I've given up with long hair. The only look I can get away with is the short and tidy haircut :sobbing:

He's still only NW2 in the 2nd picture.

And a thick NW2 at that. There's probably some balding in his future. He'll be one of those horribly unlucky people that gets to NW3 at about 55 and stays there, maybe with some thinning.
